  1. Knowing your stats can help out us critique you too. I mean even the besst players here ope to cash about 30-40% of the time. Also what happened to timed stuctures? UB is like every 12 minutes, makes for good value. Some good advice about being aggessive in SnG's especially around the "bubble." Here is my basic strategy. Play tight for the first couple rounds, try NOT to go broke by overplaying hands that aren't the nute. Don't put in alot of money in on draws unless you got like 15-20 outs (rare though).Look for oppertunities to steal, especially in late position if the blinds are tight/passive

  3. Depends are your limits. It is done on their system of "Ultimate Points (UP's)." To get any bonus money you must get 10 UP's at a table. You can get upto 1 UP/hand depending on the rake. It is possible to only get .05 UP's/hand if the rake is low or non-exsistent. so they higher you play in limits the higher the UP point/hand.As an example, I play some 1/2 and it would take me around 30 minutes to get 10 UP's, which I should mention is $1. When I played 3/6 or 4/8 I was able to get anywhere from .5 to 1 full UP.I have heard that UB's bonus system is one of the worst out there, unless you play
  4. Play for FREE at probably ANY site and you will see it probably within an hour.
  5. I have heard from many sources that he is the best at all forms of stud. He plays in the biggest stud games in the world and does well at them.If not Forrest I would bet one of the above mentioned players OR like Smash said someone you have never heard of (cause that would be anyone) BUT I think that that player would come from the East Coast, where stud is King.
  6. I think that he was correct to play. He could lay it down post flop if no ce came and he put the guy on 3 kings.Since he won the pot he made that guy a low stack thus giving the tourney a chance to end earlier. Who knows, the next hand he he is the button and you are the SB he may pick up another hand and so do you, then you have the chance to bust him based on what happened the previous hand. Had you laid them down pre flop then you stregthen his chip stack and have NO chance for his 300 bux in tokens.Just my thought.
  7. When I played 2/4 at the Luxor they took out 50 cents out instead of a full dollar when there would be for instance $26 in the pot. so they would take out $2.50 +1 (jackpot). As a result you could get quaters in a pot. Also if there was a spilt pot some casinos would give each player 50 cents to split the odd dollar, if there was one. Some however in a small stakes game may just take quarters to tip with, I don't know for their case. I know when I took in the quaters I would automatically tip the dealer with them.As far as rake goes in casino is different. Usually it is 10% of a pot with a max
  8. Try being a ubstitute teacher like me in High School.show a video, hand out papers. go to library... all of these equal time for me to sit online and do as I please. LOLoh yeah and I get paid $140ish a day lucky me 8) 8)
  9. Couldn't you just say "That's Poker?"Bad Beats, Suckouts, bad draws, outdraws, running bad and all that, aren't these all apart of poker, and in Razz you just have to learn to "deal" with this type of occurences, instead of getting upset (really LONG runn on sentence)
  10. yeah I wouldn't mind getting a Negreanu home game goin seomtime. I would be down for this, b/c I don't have a home game down here unless I want to play w/ highschoolers.Omaha, HoldEm, Stud ,triple draw, razz and any kooky fun "dealers choice" games would be fine by me. say with a 20 dolla buy in or so?Any thoughts guys, please post em. I would be down anytime.
  11. I don't know how often you are in Southern Cali but I have heard form a few sources that they spread Razz and variouos limits in many of the BIG card rooms, like the Bike, Commerece, and Gardenia.this may have been the case a few years ago, but I have been told all you need to do is request it and the game will get started up.
  12. A quick summary Good: $5 into $3k, amny people willing to try this out,50 cent 1 time vig by player, & $5 players and their skill level(for the most part)Bad: Site makes a ton of $$ on this, vig is taken out of prize pool EVERY step, & $5 players and their skill level.Yes you can make better $$ for yourself by playing sng's and you can take the $$ any time you want to BUT there has to be tons of people willing to continually put in the entry fee's (at the bottom level) to ensure the vig is taken out later for those who get lucky enough to make it. Also if you dont care that the site is
  13. Actually I would think (assume, ya know the whole You and Me thing) that if he felt capable of playing the mixed game at the Bellagio for 4/8k that he has a better clue then many do on how to play "all" games. Also many top pro's will enter as many if not ALL the tournies at the WSOP they can. They understand the differences in the games and can do well in them. They also know how important it is to WIN bracelets and they also know if they enter enough tournies that sooner or later they may get "lucky" and win a tourney that might not be their speciality.I mean look at Robert Williamson. He p
  14. This debate has gone on on the past 2 days SO Let me "try" and sum it all up.Good: $5 into $3k, amny people willing to try this out,50 cent 1 time vig by player, & $5 players and their skill level(for the most part)Bad: Site makes a ton of $$ on this, vig is taken out of prize pool EVERY step, & $5 players and their skill level.Yes you can make better $$ for yourself by playing sng's and you can take the $$ any time you want to BUT there has to be tons of people willing to continually put in the entry fee's (at the bottom level) to ensure the vig is taken out later for those who get lu
  15. According to that same broadcast he has been playing in the WSOP for 7 years or so (i think).I wonder why he has NEVER won a bracelet?All-time WPT winner no WSOP wins in much more time and events... WEIRD
  16. That is the second comment like that you have posted on this thread.Grow up man, I mean I think Shana Hiatt is beautiful and all but I am not gonna say 13 year old stuff like "I'd tap that," or "I'd so DO her."Show a little respect man.
  17. Silly Rabbit I know this. What I was referring to is during the broadcast last night if it was Raymer or some look a like??
  18. I was watching the WPT last night from Foxwoods (I know rerun). and thought I saw Raymer at the registration desk during one of the segments. Maybe you all can check it out and tell me if you think it was him.The segment is about satelittes and how they work. It is about midway through the piece and there are 2 men at a desk (I believe) with money out. On the right is a guy in a red shirt, looking down. His hairline look exactly like Raymer (as funny as that may sound), his face and build look Raymer esque as well.
  19. I live in SE, kind of by 205 and 84 where they meet. How about you?I have never heard of that place in Cornelius, but probably b/c I am on the opposite side of town as that. How far is Spirit Mnt for PDX, I heard it is about 1.5 hours? They spread 2/4 there eh? May have to make the drive over. I know they have 7 card stud on Tuesdays or Thursdays. I think it is 2/4 or 3/6
  20. I seem to remember (obviously) some time ago when ESPN was going to air this WSOP event. I saw it on the TV schedule and my digital cable gave me about 10 different times that it was going to show. Then I seem to remember during one of the WSOP prelim events where the talked about the 46 person tourney and how it was one long day tourney where the players ordered pizza. They even showed Greenstien winning the title.Whatever happened to the full version. Did I somehow miss it? Or did they realize that explaing Omaha and Razz was hard enough for the viewers to understand and cancelled it? Was jus
  21. This alleged 20 million dollars, is this possibly the same $$ that was mentioned during the WSOP main event this year, when Chad said something about Todd winning 13 million in one day.If not did he do that against Beal too??I also heard that Beal originally wanted to play a $100 million FreezeOut with "The Corporation," with the stakes at 250/500k (i think).Any knowledge, also the school server I am on WONT let me onto CardPlayer or PokerPages, if anyone can paste an article or so with the info on the big game, besides the one listed above that would be helpful.

  23. Man I need to check out other sites. I just hate some of the hassles associated with starting at a new site. I have been at UB almost since the beginning and rarely play online. This idea sounds really cool though, the bad side to this though is the fact that you have to place well 5 times in a row in order to get paid, but yes the paydya is nice. Must be a lot of suckers who continually lose their money or the same 2,ooo people keep shuffling the $$ around and the site just takes their bite out of it.The thing on the vig is interesting any math major care to break this down for me. Or just tel
  24. I started calling 104 "Little Buddy," that is pretty muchthe same things that youwrote though. I guess I m curious as well to find out why they're called these odd names.Obviously some are simple and easy to figure out, but some like 57 being the pickle man just perpexes me. I don't know if these are out of date but I like to know these cause it is fun.I bet Vince Van Patten has a name for every hand out there. lol(Conspiracy Theory" Maybe VVP did some wrting for "Tilt" I mean think of all the lingo in that one, reminds me of his commentary.also thanks for the quick responses to my Q, keep em
