that about sums it up. I'm a marginal poker player (at best) and, on top of that, I'm going to die miserable and alone. sweet. to the mods: could you guys lock this up before the flames get too bad? I'm not sure I can handle the abuse right now...

my best comeback just happened. heads up .25/.50 lhe. i started with $10 and was under $1.50. then I went on a monster run and busted the other guy. what a comeback!

I agree with most of this, but I'm sure alot of people have done "things they wouldn't normally do" and ended up broke. From what I read in that story, Chan was another half hour or hour of bad luck from being busted.

This is going to come off badly, but Daniel had no chance and that's not because he was outplayed. I have never in my life seen anything like the cards that ATW was catching. I don't claim to be without bias, because I think Daniel is a great player and I love FCP, but I believe that an objective analysis of the hand histories would stun anyone. I watched for 1-2 hours while playing at another table and it was just river after river after river. I'm sure DN will mention it in his next blog and appear to be whining, but it was some weird stuff going on.

I thought that story was outstanding. I do think he'll go broke if he keeps up with stuff like that, though.

She's been a few times, but I wouldn't say she "likes" them. I would say the chances are low that I'll get her to go while we're in Vegas. There will be a lot of drinking, though, so maybe...

I'm definitely interested. I have just taken up PLO8 in the last 3 weeks or so. I play at the $25 & $50 tables at FCP and am about even (I think down about $20) after 10-20 hours of play, but I'm just getting warmed up... More discussion about this game would be great.

leaving for vegas on sunday. where should I play low limit PLO8 and 5/10-10/20 LHE? Also, I'm 30 and my girlfriend is 25, where should we go at night to drink/hang out/people watch? I guess I'm asking what clubs are the best to go to on which nights. I'll be there sunday through wednesday nights. Any help is appreciated!!Lew
