Lisa a few seasons ago somehow backed into the final three. She escaped elimination in a challenge that saw her put shrimp through two cooking processess and still have them come out undercooked. She also survived restaurant wars when both dishes she was responsible for were awful, and head chef Dale put out one good and one awful dish.She was on the chopping block for something like 5 straight episodes (including final four) and still made it through.

From what I can remember from the behind the scenes episode, it was said that there's 10-20 minutes between the first reveal of the secret ingredient to the start of the time limit. They film the reveal from mutliple angles and also give the chefs time to start.

My wife graduated from there and can't stand the fact that her team is first in their division and mine is second in the country.
