  2. 6max i think JJ is a 3bet hand. depends on utg's raising range tho, i guess.raise the flop. you want to try and get it in now vs. QQ-AA, and you want to charge flush/straight draws morebet the river.
  3. bet more on the flop, we need to charge drawsturn card really sucks. we beat close to nothing, and even if we hit a Q on the river we usually only get a decent sized bet called unless we split. but utg could just be on a flush draw. that's about all we beat. why are we betting the river?
  4. i agree. our stack size sucks, and the K actually really sucks for our hand. there's no bet we can make that doesn't basically commit us to this hand. KJ, J9, KQ, AK now beat usthe only hands we're ahead of are like Q9s and QJi'd check and hope for free river card. if button bets any decent size we can fold, as he shouldn't usually be bluffing 2 players.
  5. ive played a tad bit before, and i feel i have a better understanding of poker in general than anyone at this level. plus i'm rolled for a couple levels higher (i'm assuming Omaha is 20BI about like holdem, but i dunno)i feel that even though im not a great Omaha player i still have a better idea of what i'm doing than most of the players i've encountered at this level so far. I will definately drop down if I lose a couple of buy ins, but I feel pretty comfortable playing this level right now. I've had good results so far, though it's only been a couple of sessions.
  6. c/c down unless hearts hit and he keeps betting.but that's what i wasn't sure about. seems kind of passive, and i guess i could get some action from flush draws/AKxx or something. so you want to c/r a blank turn? what if he checks behind the turn? we betting non heart/broadway river?
  7. i dont play 6max much, but this is either 3bet or fold preflopi'd jam the flop, though if we run the numbers i might be convinced to just raise/call. against better players i think we can call this river UI as there's a decent chance they played a draw/no pair hand strongly and our A high is good. Bad players wont play nonpair hands so fast. that's a generality though and it's very player dependent.
  8. that's not necessarily true a year ago (when i played the most, build my biggest roll) i was beating 2/4 on FT for about 4BB/100, while barely making 2BB/100 at 1/2. as long as you use good table selection you shouldnt experience a big drop in winrate unless the competition is much much better, which i dont think happens much until you get to 5/10 or probably higher. if you have the option of playing a couple tables at 3/6 that are 20-25% pf and some 2/4 tables that are more like 33-38% take the 2/4 tables even if you're rolled for 3/6. you'll make more in the long run and they're way more fun
  9. im not omaha expert, but i would think it's even worse 4 way. multiway you need a much bigger hand to continue than HU, and this doesnt make too many big hands. HU 2 pair can win a decent amount of the time, which you're much more likely to make with this hand.i think the c/c makes it easier, as he could bet a lot of things, but it also loses you value for your nut flush when it checks through. and the other 2 people in the hand don't matter much. they havent shown any sign at all of having anything, it's not hard to figure they're not calling a PSB

  11. id probably fold preflop. that too tight? all we really have is the suited A and bad positionthe river bet is really weak, and a good player might see that, realize it'd be fairly hard to have a hand worthy of calling a big raise, and try to take the pot.
  12. why are we raising this preflop? or is that why you say you were throwing away moneys

He's somewhat loose preflop there.I stacked him once the first hand i played at this table, where i flopped top set and he pushed with TP2K and not much else. as he 3bet he typed "flip?" into chat, which is stupid b/c far as i
  14. DN said he had 20k left after the flop, so i would guess Phil had him covered or close to it. which means he had about 25k to start.i wonder if he's gonna come back and give his thoughts/what happened
  15. depends i guess. if CO's been raising a bit PF you could shove and try to isolate button. but he should know he has 0 FE so his range usually crushes you. i'd fold and wait for spots where I can be first in.
  16. since i'm trying to get back into playing more seriously (unless I find a real job...)April up about $1200. Started w/ 900 on FT in the middle of rebuilding a bankroll again (for about the 4th time). was at almost 2200. downswing for a few days tho. May goals:cash out on UB. i liked some things about their site but lately it just pisses me off. From things i keep reading on 2+2 the higher limits are filled with bots and junk anyway so it's prolly not a great long term site. Maybe use that 1700 to start an account on Cake or Players Only. do something with my Stars account. Left 1k on there to
  17. just do what i did. make about $50 in freerolls, then run insanely amazing for a month and run it up to $1000....THEN learn about bankroll management.
  18. MP3 has about 2k less than Hero. im assuming that's who called. so he had to call about 5865 into 9665. so he's getting like 1.65-1. against the range you gave he still needs closer to 2-1 and should fold. but if we give Hero a shoving range of 22+, ATs+, AJo+ and KQs then it's about right for a call. The bottom end of that range may be a little loose, tho.MP3 should've shoved in the first place, instead of raising to 1200.

  20. or TT, JJ, QJ, yeah it could, which is why Id call.im just saying, b/c the draw, then c/c when he makes it and donking the river is a bit odd for JT. i mean it's not horrendous or super crazy, just most players would c/r the turn when they hit or go for c/r the river since we've been so aggressive. doesnt mean he doesnt have it, ive seen much stranger lines with the nuts than that, i just think it's the 3rd or 4th line villain would usually take with JT in this hand, behind b/c, c/r; b/c, c/c, c/r; b/c, b/r
  21. unless you're Actuary. not that he was bad, i enjoyed lots of the debates we had, but man did he seem to run super lucky sometimes.
  22. tell me how AK or better folds to a smallish raise on the river. if we're raising 3-4x then sure, i agree.but a 2-2.5x raise would make it pretty tough for decent 2nd best hands to fold, i think.
  23. i agree. i dont think we get 3 streets of value, but it doesnt mean we dont try. we bet the turn to protect our hand/get value, and if a blank river rolls off there's no reason not to bet if we think our hand is still bestas played, the turn bet is pretty weak. with almost 12 in the pot i'd bet about 8-9. his line on river doesnt make much sense. the 7 rarely helped him, unless he's a station and would get this far with 77.i'd just call in case he took an odd line with JT, but i'd rarely fold.
  24. depends on reads, i dont really know galfond very well. this is a decent board to float, as only AA, KK, and AK are 3-bet hands that like this flop (unless he thinks DN will 3-bet a utg raise with with KQs or KJs, which is doubtful), so he could make this call with a lot of hands thinking he's best or that he can take you off your hand later.I would think AA would raise this flop, trying to get stacks in vs. AK, knowing they won't get much more $$ from JJ or QQ, and the longer the hand plays out the less likely he is to stack AK. same with a set, though this logic is better for smaller staked
  25. awesome, much appreciated.do i need to sign up through rakebackpros first? i will anyway just to be sure.
