  1. They made me type the letters I saw in the chat box to make sure I wasn't a bot. I barley noticed because I hardly even look at the chat box. Is this a one time thing, or do I need to watch out?
  2. When you get one let me know, I'm looking at becoming a private detective and would enjoy having someone with a helicopter to fly me around to various adventures.
  3. As much as I hate most of that blue collar stuff, Ron White actually makes me laugh. He brings a funny southern charm without coming across like a dumb redneck. His bit on why he doesn't like to hunt killed me, as I had many uncles that love hunting.
  4. Well I am aware of the value of the hand, I'm more interested in how I should open, with a bring-in looking for a raise, or just go ahead and bet the full bet. In h/l as compared to stud hi and especcially compared to razz, you are going to have a lot more playable hands as the bring in. Should I be full betting a fairly wide range?
  5. Still trying to learn the basics of stud hi/lo.1. This hand is strong enough for a bring in/raise correct?2. However since hardly anyone is showing anything that looks like it would reasonably raise is a full bet good here?7 Card Stud High-Low ($0.50/$1.00), Ante $0.05, Bring-In $0.25 (converter)3rd Street - (0.70 SB)Hero: A:diamond: A:club: 2:heart: ?Seat 2: xx xx 3:diamond:Seat 3: xx xx 7:club:Seat 5: xx xx K:diamond:Seat 6: xx xx 8:diamond:Seat 7: xx xx 6:clubSeat 8: xx xx T:diamond:
  6. Yeah doesn't seem like that big of a deal, unfortunaltely people in this country are given felonies for some fairly trivial shit
  7. And K10 you dolt. I'm far too bored today.
  8. Oh. I actually wasn't trying to be one of those anal guys who makes a big deal about the difference between sets and trips, it's just that if this board had been say 10 7 2 with two of a suit his line would be screaming set based on his cold call and sudden aggro.
  9. Flop three-bet couldn't really be a set, he would already have a full house, I don't think anyone would play 1010 like that. A2 is definetly a possiblity. Your K outs are almost never dirty you dominate AKo and are in great shape against AKspades. I still think turn is a raise, but I'll leave someone with better hand range calculations to give you a better equity calculations.
  10. Well I am in favor of b/c as well. The only reason I bring up levels is that sans reads it is one way to help us determine how well a player plays. Of course it is not universal. I was mainly responding to actuarys claim that a b/f on the river is good because there is no way that an opponent would be bluffing enough to make it profitable, which I don't think is true. I do however believe a bad player could c/r river with something like AJ thinking he is good now. That may be a stretch. If we are dealing with a thinking player I think a bluff c/r is much more likely if they are able to vie
  11. Obviously true of a thinking player, which is why reads can be impotant. Do we want to give credit to an unknown at .25-.50 for being the type that will think of anything else but his own two cards?
  12. I think you are forgetting the times that he doesn't view a raise with a weaker hand as a bluff. Maybe I don't give opponents enough credit.
  13. I think c/r flop is good because we want to isolate LP. River is a little tougher. If Mp raises and LP folds, I think you have to call, if MP raises and LP calls I think maybe you can fold despite getting good odds. The problem is is that your river bet looks so weak compared with how you played the rest of the hand villians could be raising light.
  14. Nah Chip Reese wrote a decent section about stud. Raised a family, wasn't a degen, and was a good model for anyone playing poker. Brandi had none of these qualities going for her. She was just a woman who used people, who cares? I still didn't lose any sleep over Chip's death, because I didn't know him. Maybe I'm cynical.
  15. It's kind of said I guess, but it happens all the time. I can't believe people get so worked up when someone that they didn't know, and had no impact on their life whatsoever, dies, regardless of the means. I'd be more sad if the guy that sold me beer, or the guy who drove my bus died.
  16. I was more refering to the no-set no bet mentality for mid PP is SH games. You will seriously get run over by any player.
  17. Rudimentary Peni-Death Church. It's been a while since I listened to this one I don't know why.
  18. You will get eaten alive if you play this way.
  19. I don't think seeing Dylan would be the same as Zepplin. For lack of a better word old singer/songwritters can still play music in my mind because their music changes so much as they age, sure Dylan is still gonna belt out "like a rolling stone" but he is perfoming it usually in a way that is more acceptable for his age in my mind. Trying to re-construct arena rock "heroes" that are well past their prime is hilarious to me. I'm just even more shocked that Stone Temple Pilots can make anyone excited. I mean seriously? For real? They just seem like such a product. Like "Let's see I need a
  20. This thread reminds of how much I'm glad I'm not in high school anymore.
  21. I would most likely grab about 20k and leave the rest. It would just be too hard to explain how I came upon 140k that it would not be worth the risk in my mind.
