I don't think its online yet right? I rarely do home games. Its a mixed game, we play a bunch of games and they were thinking of adding Hi/Lo regular so I gotta learn it.

Has anyone played Stud Hi/Lo no qualifier? It is being added to my mix game and I just wanted some basic strategy tactics so I can stay afloat in it.

Not really, I play all the games and find it more interesting to play a mix rather then one single game. Becoming a good poker player has always been my goal and I can't do it if I only know how to play one or two games well.

Read my post again, I stated he could be just representing a 9 and from wakiki's description these guys play absolutely anything meaning he could have face cards. This is not a fold at all and if your folding under these conditions your wrong.

A pat J is around a 70/30 favorite and a pat T is around a 80/20 favorite against a 2 card draw.

Any Q is around a 60/40 favorite over any 2 card draw and a 1 card draw is around the same against any 2 card draw.

You can pat a Q if they draw 2 although you are a small favorite.

For the record you shouldn't be playing results. But he may call you thinking you were trying to pick up the pot on the turn.

Your hand preflop isn't terrible but it is marginal at best. I would raise preflop (which you already realized) and for sure bet the flop to drive out any one way low draws and thin the field. The turn bet is standard. I think you should have value bet the river, you will get called by a worse hand more then you think and you can fold to a re-raise because he HAS to have you beat to re-raise you.

I believe he is bad at both Stud 8 and Stud, for sure Stud.

More likely Mike Matusow sick then, Gus is motivated he just sucks at Stud 8

Playing as sick as Gus Hansen in Stud 8 is a recipe for disaster

In the first hand you can raise or call but folding is not an option, the second hand is a raise on the button. Pretty standard actually.

NLHE is probably his worst game, Eli is a much better limit player especially short handed; much respected all around player.

This except you should never fold that hand in the BB for a mini raise, the pot is to big and you can flop gin and win a big pot or get out cheaply.

This plus stealing with AK852 is horrible unless the players are tight and you can easily snow but it is garbage.
