  1. Start cutting out your chips like your going to make a big bet, and if he's an absolute stone, i'd be a little more worried. Make a joke, talk to him a little, if he's cool as a cucumber, and his smile and laugh are natural, i'd be even more worried. In these iffy situations, I think it's best to go off body language if you have a good feel for it.
  2. Can you teach someone not to get bored/tilted with online poker?
  3. He would not look back at his cards if he flopped a flush draw (unless using false tells). He was probably looking back to see if he had just ONE of the suit so he would know that if a turn came the same suit, he still has outs if he got looked up on his c-bet. OR he is hollywooding and actually flopped a set.
  4. I don't know if this happens to a lot of players (probably not), but I seem to have a problem with my rakeback at FT. The pattern would be, I would receive my rakeback on Friday, and when I proceed to play, I immediately lose most of my rakeback in one session. It is really bugging me as this has happening for 5-6 weeks in a row, and I'm starting to wonder if it's a mental thing. Maybe I'm subconsciously playing looser or gambling more because I basically just received free money, or it's just coincidental that variance hits me right at that time for the last couple months. I don't feel l
  5. Haha same here. It was so frustrating yet so simple to fix.
  6. The only hands that u have beat are AK, 66, 44. Compared to about 11-12 hands he could have that have you beat.
  7. I apologize if this is a really stupid question, but when I play on Full Tilt with poker tracker (6 handed), The stats I have on the HUD overlap the extra "time" button. I have NO idea how to fix this and it's getting quite annoying when i have to think about a decision. Can anyone enlighten me on how to fix this annoying problem????
  8. I got the same exact email. It took about 2 months to finally get selected for rakeback.
  9. no that's money won when seeing the flop. Money won at showdown was around 57-58 %.
  10. I've never been successful at 6 max online. For some reason, I can't find the right amount of aggression, It feels like I'm either too aggressive or not aggressive enough (maybe with pokertracker i can find out now). With full ring, I feel I have a much better idea of how to play. What is the big difference between playing 6max and full ring?
  11. Ok I just noticed the pokertracker for beginners, and apparently i have a low WTSD percentage. Am I not being aggressive enough or am I folding too much?
  12. OK i just started using stats, but im not sure what is considered good or bad. I welcome comments and ways to improve if you don't mind. # of Hands: 2164, Full Ring NLSaw Flop: 19.9 %VP$IP: 22.1%PFR: 9.92%Agg. Factor: 2.03W$WSF: 37.31%WTSD: 23.62%3Bet: 5.33%Fold3B: 77.27%
  13. Are bank transfers working properly and efficiently right now?? I haven't cashed out since the cash pick-up era (which was amazing btw), and at that time there were a lot of problems with cashing out through bank transfers and mailed checks.
  14. hahaha except Chicago has no hicks. Lot of gangsters, but no hicks.
  15. It's hard to use the small ball strategy at a live 1-2NL or 2-5NL cash games just because theres a standard raise preflop to 5x - 7x the blind. If you go in there tryin to raise 2x -4x the blind like smallball says, then you are goin to get called by at least 3-5 people every time. What do you do then?
  16. I'm very much in the same boat. I started with 40 on FT and grinded sit n gos in June. The thing is, I had just finished school and hadn't played in a while, so I had that itch to play. My motivation was high and was supremely focused every time i played. I turned it into 3.5k on both FT and PS by the end of July. I had switched to cash games midway through when I realized I could make more. I played maybe 10 tables on average of 25NL at a time and was playing very well. Then I made the HUGE mistake of going to Vegas for NINE days on a poker binge with basically my whole roll. I came
  17. Don't know if anyone watched Letterman last night, but he asked a lot of tough questions to McCain. It was pretty funny watching McCain not giving an excuse as to why he bailed on him, all he said was "I screwed up"
  18. well in my opinion, you didn't misplay your hand, you just took a bigger risk by not being aggressive and I'm only saying this is because this is a tournament (where one hand will bust you if facing larger stack). If it were a cash game, then you played it perfectly, but in tourneys i just think that allowing free cards is so much more important than people realize. In tourneys, i would much rather have people fold rather than give them free cards just because all it takes is one hand to lose. but who knows, i could be wrong.
  19. Can anyone clue me in if the bank withrawal method for FTP is working or is reliable. It would be nice to have my cashout go straight to the bank, but with all the problems that FTP is having, I'm not sure what to do (prefer not to do the cash pick up).
  20. a live chicken to remove a downswing?????..........I'm seriously considering it.
  21. this is what i gotHowever, we do value your continued support of Full Tilt Poker, and we are currently looking into organizing something that will help players who are not already attached to an affiliate. We have added your username to our files for further consideration. Please be patient. If there's anything else we can help you with, please don't hesitate to ask. Best of luck on the tables! Regards,
  22. Seriously man it's not, I just graduated college and I can't stand the fact that I will have to work some job I probably dont like for half the rest of my conscious life ( I dont have a job yet).....I just dont know much about those small online pros. And I was thinking, I need like a 1000 Sit n Gos for a better reflection of my roi?.....thats like 75,000 hands...is that not a lot?
