Lets go slowly here.Number One: You burn a card because if there happened to be some noticeable "MARKS" on the cards people would not know what was going to come off next.Number Two: When you shuffle cards you "RANDOMIZE" them so "MATHEMATICALLY" it makes no difference whether you burn one or all but five...Number Three: It takes much less time to burn one card than three or even thirty-five. I bet that may have something to do with the fact that the rules allow for one burned card.--The More you Know (insert shooting star)
