  1. YEP! she's so NOT that good.
  2. 1. with JJ, you're hoping to flop the set. *ding - mission accomplished. Personally, I wouldn't have C/R all in here on the turn. At most C/C. 7 or a Q is the worst card one would want to see here on the turn. From the small blind, he could easily have J10 or Q10. I would've led out on the flop bigger of course. --------Js...there's no wrong or right way to playem at times...
  3. Read up on "small ball" strat. Literally, it's how I've neutralized the donks and placed fear in their hearts....well at least until they leave.
  4. I agree. Even if he calls the flop, pushing on the turn could be foolish. Just cause he's calling our raise on the flop, shouldn't assume we have him beat. IMHO, raising the flop and getting a call still places me in no man's land. Controlling the pot here would be my goal. I would've checked/raised flop. And if he calls then check/fold the turn. Js...there's no wrong or right way to play them at times. Especially OOP. I live to fight another hand...or minute...or hour...or day.
  5. I agree. Just cause we raise and he calls shouldn't assume the fact that we've got him beat with our QJ.
  6. ...straightforward player, seems to be folding on the flop if he hits nothing...Well obviously he's probably got something now that he's not folding. He's check/calling your play, trying to keep the pot small. And though his river bet does look like a "block bet," to me it actually looks like a "please call my sh*tty raise...it won't cost much..." Villian actually looks to be playing "small ball" style poker and though he may play like a donk, I personally believe he has you beat. A simple heart gives him a flush, which I'll lead to say he probably caught it on the turn or on the river (ru
  7. 9s, 10s, and Js...at times, there's no wrong or right way to play'em.
  8. I hate flips. I never win them!
  9. but by keeping the pot small pre flop when I was a small dog.. and building the pot when I was a 90 percent favorite, I was able to maximize my expectation. beautifully stated! Small BALL is the way to go! SHHHHHHHHHHH don't tell everyone "the" secret!
  10. Scenario 1: "if hero raises preflop, villian goes all-in" Hero will have to make the judgment call on whether to call or fold. Since Hero already stated that he has no read on villian as to what type of player he is, then he could possibly fold and live to fight another day.Scenario 2: "if hero raises preflop, villian smooth calls." Let Hero fire another bullet post flop (just as he did). Whether villian calls/reraises, that should help us draw conclusions needed. As in the hand, villian did reraise. "How could he NOT have me beat now?"Personally, I believe Villian played it rather bad
  11. "The villian is fairly new to the table so I dont have much of a read of him..."I think that says a lot in its own way. Nowadays (especially online), I have a tendency to ask "how does he play?" all the time. With an unknown play style of villian, that in itself could later lead me to lay down my Qs, especially since there's so much action going on. I'm definitely more of a "small ball" player and being infatuated with Qs at this moment of the tourny could dispel disaster for me. Since you have no idea about villian's play and image, I'm sure he says the same about you. - calling the int
  12. well, we can sit here and argue for Detroit (JMax and Amir the future?), Cleveland (wheres the PG?), Bulls (can Noah score?), Miami (Wade's commercials jinxed him/Shaq's health), Boston (sustaining in health/can Allen and Pierce play D?) all day long....but one thing remains a fact...Knicks still suck (Curry co-existing with Zbo? I DONT THINK SO)!
