  1. got wacked playing .25-.50 (i know its pathetic). my online br has been yoyoing between $190 and $220 for a month and a half now. can't seem to gain any consistency. starting to think that i suck. :wall:
  2. you can find them @www.torrentspy.comand do a search for pokerbtw... i have not seen them in Canada yet either.
  3. i just folded KK pre-flop by accident (actually i have no idea how it happened but i must of clicked auto fold). the flop came down QQX and a raising war broke out so it probably saved me some money.
  4. This coming from an apparent canucks fan?If you hate the leafs, then you hate god. plain and simple.
  5. i have recently went back to playing 2-5 live once a week and i've been running cold since returning. two weeks ago i saw no cards and was in the hole before i hit an overfull and took down a big pot. ended up leaving up $4 after 5.5 hours of play. last week i wasn't in many pots either but the ones i did enter were big ones and after getting sucked out on once or twice i left down $13. the thing i find so frustrating about it is that the play is very soft at this limit and im pretty sure i can outplay most at the table. but the cards just haven't been coming. i won't be deterred though
  6. sorry guys, i didn't mean to come across as someone that has no sense of humour. i actually find it extremely funny that wrto has a poker blog. im sure his hoards of fans appreciate it.
  7. :boohoo: QUIT! you don't have what it takes to play poker.
  8. i think you made the right play based on your read. you said you took this player as weak and based on that i would of called with my 2 pair as well. you made the right read and you made the right call, you just got beat by the turn.
  9. although i don't agree with all of the decisions smash makes in this post(J9s limp from EP) i do agree with pocket 9's decision. i think you can post a disagreement and leave it at that but i don't get all the "i win this round" bull shit. grow up.
  10. I'm not going to debate the limp pre-flop but if you see that as your only mistake then you have no business playing in a buy-in of that caliber. hammer that flop and a) take down a small pot and count your blessing or B) pay to make him draw to his flush.Checking that flop makes absolutey no sense to me.
  11. i used to play on party but have switched. i first tried absolute but the traffic just isn't there. (unless you like to play 6 handed) i'm now on paradise poker and i love it. just as many fish as on party (IMHO) and lots of traffic.
  12. i'm going to go out on a limb and assume that all 6 of your boats were actually the underfull and you were probably beat by the overfull. now, im going to go out on an even bigger limb and suggest that some of the hands you lost looked a lot like this example: :spades10: :hearts10: :diamonds8: :clubs8: :clubsrag: and you held :spades8: :clubsrag: and your opponent held :diamonds10: capping with hands like this is a good way to get wooped.btw... canada and euchre kick ass! :canadarocks:
  13. i used to never type anything in either but lately i find it really helps me to laugh off a bad beat by typing in "nice play" and then getting a "ty" in return. plus it builds the persons confidence in what they are doing (playing poorly) and they will probably stay at the table long enough for me to win my money back. the thing that really pisses me off is when good players start berating the bad players at the table. thats got to be the dumbest thing i think you could do.
  14. you can get all the info you need from the following linkhttp://www.canadianpokerplayer.com/cpt/index.html
  15. I also left partypoker because i was frustrated of being drawn out on by people that had no business in the hand. since then i have joined paradise poker and am extrememly happy with it. actually, i think there are as many fish at paradise as there was at party (i play .25-.50 on paradise compared to .50-1.00 on party) and im beating the game regularly. party actually sent me $20 to start playing their again so im probably going to give it another shot. i think the frustration that i had there was actually alot to do with bank roll management and the fact that i couldn't handle the swings.
  16. Ok let me get this stratight.I work a regular monday to friday job. If i grind out 5,000 to 6,000 grand in a year on the side playing poker am i safe to not be paying tax on it?Cause i sure the hell don't plan on it!
  17. for some reason i just love :diamondsq: :diamonds10: . i have to practically pry them out of my hand when im in early position.
  18. Last night i sat down at a 1 on 1 table and got my ass handed to me. I was playing .25-.50 cent table and was like a fish out of water in this format. I usually play in full ring games and have a tight aggressive style that works well for me. But when playing heads-up i could no longer wait for the cards and it seemed like they never came anyways.Just wondering what kind of changes you guys make to your game when moving from full ring to heads-up.tg
  19. Just wondering if anyone knows why Danny wasn't playing in yesterdays televised event on nbc. (pokerstars championship?)
  20. I see on their site that sng's structure is set to blinds raising every 10 hands. Anyone know what a regular multi-table structure is?And if so what are the blind increments?Do they impelement antes at the second 100/200 level?thx for any help. looks like a great site and i think i will be making a deposit there very soon.
  21. Anyone try both that can give a good recomendation?
  22. bad play. you had no business calling the pre-flop raise and i'm not sure what you were thinking betting into him after the flop with nothing but a draw. i wouldn't make this play a habit.
  23. I'm not sure if you want to start raising with hands like QJ or K10. Obviously doing it once in a while to shake things up isn't a bad idea but I wouldn't make it a constant of your game. It could be that you haven't had many premium hands over that time? I'm not sure? One thought is, how aggressive are you with a premium hand when someone has raised in front of you? Maybe start three betting or capping pots with big hands.Just a thought.
