  1. I made it this far. Still ignoring you, based on previous discussions.
  2. It's weird that you'd never heard a tornado siren. That's what we were talking about, right?
  3. I was thinking along the same lines as you. Until I watched the 17 minute you tube clip.
  4. State Senator Glenn Grothman on MSNBC Tuesday night called the protesters "slobs". To be honest, there are some slobby hippies there and I was prepared to let it go, kind of expecting a half-hearted apology that not everyone there is a slob. Instead, he returned to MSNBC the next night to do a segment with 4 non-slob protesters. He then proceeded to call them slobs to their faces and said they were "likable and lovable" but still slobs. It's actually a rather disgusting 17 minutes that shows his incredible ineptness as a politician. I imagine this will add more fuel to his recall campaig
  5. I'm doing the same, except in gym shorts.. Catching up on all the TV I've missed this week.
  6. ....ok? What's your point? Would you like to compare them with CEO salaries who give extensively to Republicans? I mean...I don't see your point.
  7. I'm sure if you rabble those 2 marbles around, you can figure it out
  8. Is it cool that I'm not mj-high. Cause I'm def high and it's sweeeeet.
  9. What? No. That wasn't my fastball. That was the first thing that came to mind.Edit - But that begs the question: What exactly are you looking for? When have Dems acted like Republicans? When have have Dems tried to bust unions? Dems believe in negotiating with unions and collective bargaining rights...supporting them doesn't mean that unions have all the power. And, to a similar point, when have Republicans pissed off big business?
  10. http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/46322732.htmlDemocratic governor Jim Doyle froze salaries of public employees, including teachers, in 2009 until 2011. Not sure who controlled the congress, as google's being difficult. But I'm assuming democrats, given the state's history.
  11. They weren't exactly in control last time Dems had control of congress.
  12. You don't have to agree with it to know that it's legal.
  13. This wouldn't surprise me. But even if they get enough signatures, it's unlikely those senators would lose their seats as they are in Democratic districts.
  14. Wisconsin residents filed paperwork today to begin a recall of 8 republican senators. They have 90 days to collect enough signatures, which they believe they have. One senator only won their seat by ~184 votes and another by ~1100 votes. If 3 democrats are elected, they will take control of the senate.
  15. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/03/02/w...f_n_830414.htmlNext, they commandeer their families!
  16. Walker's proposed budget cuts funding to technical colleges by 30%. As a part-time technical college instructor with only 2 semesters under my belt, I think that means this is my last semester as an instructor.
  17. Late to the party, but: Inside Job is kinda infuriating. And I've only been watching for 20 minutes.
  18. Yes, it is illegal to keep people out of the Capitol building according to the Wisconsin Constitution. But c'mon people, in the words of Jon Stewart tonight, "It smelled like ass."
  19. Busey was drugs though. This really does look like a manic episode. Honestly, it'll get sad if this is what it is and he gets worse as the disorder continues to intensify. But this doesn't look like a result of drug use - he knows where he is and what's going on, he just doesn't careEdit - I hate, hate, hate agreeing with TV quacks. Especially "Dr. Drew." Sometimes, even quacks get one right though.
  20. Yeah, but Wisconsin > Illinois > Indiana. I can't say I blame em.
  21. I never considered this just being a US thing. Weird.
