  1. raise more preflop as your out of position and he's limping UTG... as played it's a fairly standard hand, with your read on villian he could be doing this with any King and makes a push standard although your probably beat
  2. attn mtdesmoines, yeah I have moved up pretty quick in retrospect but I work kinda hard at improving my play and also I joined Cardrunners about a month ago and have learnt soooo much, I would really recommend anyone to join. I have only just started at $1-2 but feel confident enough to not play scared and generally feel I have an edge over the average $1-2 player at Partypoker lol...As for the hand, I decided if a diamond didn't come then I'm shoving the river regardless so the call was fine with me, if he flopped a flush Im going broke, likewise with a set but he showed A 10 . Pretty ugl
  3. Partypoker - 6 players - 200NLHero is playing around 18/14/2.5, villian is donkish (38/19/0.9 over 35 hands) and min raising/limping and calling raises oop, however he has hit a couple of nice hands and has a decent stack.Hero: $293.63villian: $273.50Hero holds A Q on the button.MP raises to $4, CO calls $4, Hero raises to $18, SB folds, BB folds, MP calls $14, CO folds.Flop: Q 8 2 Mp checks, Hero bets $32, Mp calls $32.Turn: 3 Mp checks, hero bets $68, Mp calls $68River: 7 Mp pushes all-in $155.50, hero ?My read all along is that he was chasing an A or K flush draw as set raises on th
  4. Party Poker - 6 Players $100NLNo Reads on villian, I have only been sat for 4-5 orbits and am multitabling, my image must be nit I have only played my hands from the BB if limped as cards are dry.Hero BB $94.50Villian CO $154.65Hero holds 8 2 MP 1 calls $1, Villian calls $1, SB Folds, Hero checks.Flop: J 2 8 Hero checks, MP 1 checks, Villian bets $3, Hero raises to $11, MP 1 folds, Villian calls $8.Turn: A Hero bets $22, Villian raises to $44, hero ?
  5. I play 100NL and beat it to the tune of 6BB/100 over 20,000 hands (20 buy in's). My advice is as follows...1: Play tight from the blinds2: Don't slow play3: Quit when your having really bad sessions / Stick around when your winning big!!!4: Use Poker HUD5: Play less tables if your struggling6: Don't TILT!!!!!!!!! (honestly quit if you feel your tilting.. you might aswell set fire to cash if you play on tilt)Hope this helps... your sample is only 10,000 hands so maybe it's varience.
  6. I see a few blogs where poker tracker results are posted in a thread and wondered how this is done, can someone explain the process please ?
  7. I bet out, if he raises I shove, If he just calls and a blank comes on the trun I fire again.
  8. I don't mind a 3 bet on the flop, he could be raising you with KQ or even KJ if he's fishy. The lead on the turn is a strong move and it looks like he's repping a set, tough spot and very read dependant. I would probably push the turn but I don't hate a fold either.
  9. I would lead out on that flop, however you have some decent information from your check raise here on the turn, we are only beating AQ,A10 or A9 here...and I can't imagine he would check raise with those holdings...JJ just got there, QQ isn't check raising, AK & AJ have us crushed... For me this is a fold considering stack sizes.
  10. ok, I smooth called the flop bet with intention of raising a turn bet if it falls a blank. Turn card is 10 Villian checks, Hero?
  11. PartyPoker 6 players - 100NL HoldemVillian has stats of 19/8/2 over 300 hands, my notes say "will call raise with 66 OOP & lead out on AJ9 flop". Hero has only been sat for 5 hands and has raised 3 of them with premium hands.Villian is SB $93.51Hero is MP $108.45Hero Holds: A K Hero raises to $4, villian raises to $13, Hero calls $9.Flop: K J 6 Villian bets $19, hero?
  12. I used to hunt the razor blades in the house when this would happen but I'm like you now... it's a cooler & thats all it is, well done for improving your tilt control.
  13. I like the lead, it's a standard play imo... I would lead out for about $2 on this flop and re-raise any raise.
  14. spot on, villian will very rarely just call that bet, either he's folding or pushing , either way you know where you stand in the hand!!
  15. standard, your going broke here every time.
  16. I think it's an honest reaction from a true poker pioneer, do you honestly think Doyle is worried about losing potential customers by telling a few home truths in his blogs? I think not... This blog is written by a guy who has demostrated a huge understanding of deep stack cash game play and won a lot in the process and all you state is that he is slagging off other pro's... Quite Frankly, I don;tthink Doyle gives a shit what you or I think and if it upsets you so much then don't read any more of his blogs, but of course you will...
  17. here's a link to all his blog entries... makes interesting reading in the most part!!!http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-news/blogs/author/30
  18. from a recent Doyle Blog..."I've never watched poker shows. I think because they make me look like an old, fat, bald-headed cripple. Oh, wait a minute, that's what I am isn't it I accidentally tuned in on High Stakes Poker on GSN and I was absolutely fascinated by what I saw. This show isn't a tournament; it is a real cash game where the players can buy more chips when they want and quit when they want. Also, the ante and blinds never go up. I sometimes wonder how I came off a cotton farm in Texas to where I am today. After watching that show every night for the past month, I can understand it
  19. pretty damn ugly hand imo Simo... i'm struggling to find a hand which you beat on the river despite the villian stats, the flop play is fine but the turn lead is pretty ugly and the river is setting fire to cash.
  20. why? are we looking for 3-4 players in this pot to call the re-raise?
  21. http://archives1.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Number=6923326Some good advice in here for those that missed it first time round.
