  1. Accent? LOLThe words you are typing don't make sense, even, forget about any "accent"
  2. I wanted to follow up with some numbers:It's about a 1.8% chance this guy has AA or KK, I'd even put it lower since UTG raised and there were a bunch of callers (at least ONE of them must be calling with A-something, I would think). It's about a 6% chance that he has a pair of JJ or lower. And if he does have 22, 44, or 99 (2.7% chance*) and hits his set (13% chance AFTER he already has 22, 44 or 99)I hope my math skills are working tonight...So there's a LESS THAN 1 out of 200 chance** that he has 22, 44, or 99 AND you have QQ, AND that he hits a set.Again I think you are paying off the set her
  3. Well the OP insists that the guy wouldn't overplay TPTK so the only thing it leaves is a set or 2 pair (callng $9 with rags when there's already $40-or-so in the pot).If you really can't put him on TP then obviously you have to fold.I'd be interested to know what UTG did? If he folds then I'm sure he has A-something and in that case it makes it more unlikely the BB has a big Ace and is trying to buy.The OP also stated that the BB would easily have been able to put him on a hand such as that, so I guess I can't believe the BB is trying to get AK to lay it down after hitting TP.All that said, th
  4. has this guy EVER made an intelligble post?
  5. Yes, I am LMAO about how he is treating this young punk. What comes around, goes around.Plus how can DN compete against multiple players who probably switch out ever 40-45 minutes. 2 hours is MORE than enough, I think.
  6. i LMAO when I read his blog about this... our entire family has raised Austrailian Shepard dogs for about 20 years, and for some reason, EVERY ONE OF THEM will go ballistic when they see a Black person...Weird thing is we live in an area of SW Michigan which is around 75% black. A similar proporton of our friends are black... It has actually become a bit of a joke within our circle of friends, we are about the most NON-r@cist (why won't it let me type that word?) people our friends know... and our dogs are like founding members of the KKK .
  7. Instead of just calling and re-evaluating on the river (in other words, checking (WEAK!!) and calling), why not put him to a decision NOW.Let's say you were wiling to call 15 on the river just to look him up... why not reraise here... you may take the pot down, and even if he calls then you may be able to get away with checking and he will check the river also...
  8. So we were playing a home game the other night and a guy I consider a very good Omaha player (at least for a "local") said, "POT IT IF YOU GOT IT".This of course in PLO, cash game... if you have the "current nuts" (top set on a non-straight board without 3 suited cards).... best straight on a non-flush board, best current boat, nut flush on an unpaird board etc. he says you should just bet the pot. That, I would think, would make anyone's drawing odds incorrect in about 95% of the cases (unless you have top set and they have soemthing like an overpair and an open end str8 flush redraw, therefor
  9. I can't fault you for calling from SB in an unraised pot HOWEVER I myself may have made a preflop raise to see what was going on... button may have reraised and you could have laid it down. The biggest fault I see you making is going all in on the river, and not just calling. You didn't have the nuts, yeah you had the likely best hand based on the betting... but I'm not sure you would want to raise on the river.Yeah you lose money but not as much. that's almost as good as a win in this hand.
  10. In this situation, it really didnt' matter much, snce you hit a K on the river. If you call, if you raise, you're still losing money on the river.
  11. Yes, exactly... Theres $2 in the pot and villian goes all in for arond $60?I'd put him on QQ and hoping you don't have a K, and he also knows you probabl won't call such a massive overbet even with a K.He's risking $40 to win $2.Let him do it, find a better situation and get him later!
  12. Oh yeah, and you NEVER had control of the hand... he had an ace and had control the entire time... he was just making you THINK that you had control. And for cripes sake, HE DID NOT "RAISE" on the TURN.. he BET.Again, horrible players who cannot even learn the terminology. You are completely outclassed for whatever level you are playing.
  13. Exactly, what a horrible bet on the river. You were probably beat... and you call it a "VALUE" bet??!?!? Betting there only accomplishes 1 of 3 things:1. You get raised and have to decide to call or not (probably beat). You lose your river bet AT LEAST.2. He calls with a weak ace and you are beat (losing more chips than you needed to).3. He folds. You don't get any "value" from your "value bet".Either way if you have the best hand, it's a WEAK "best hand" and NOT worthy of a river bet.Exactly what the previous poster said... what would he call you with here? ONLY A HAND THAT BEATS YOU!But hey,
  14. Well yeah cuz anyone with K2 (or any king) would call you... especialy with their stac sizes (not much to lose).Keep thinking you are a good player tho. Your play was Poker 101, you learn to raise with QQ the first day on the job.
  15. Yeah you may want to stop using music, #1 it's not that great of music, #2 you are just asking to be reported for copyright infringement.
  16. Did I miss something? What was the final +/-?Looks like DN was about $10k up?The other dude rebought for $40k right?
  17. Thanks bigcoled for the answer, in context that makes sense. The rest of you, again proof of the childishness and pitifulness of the majority of this forum.
  18. Really?I do think it's worthwhile. People asking for a bit more advanced advice yet they don't even know the terminology for bet or raise? It's really pitiful. Maybe he'll learn something.
  19. Well I think you need to get your terminology correct before playing any more poker, you didn't "raise", you BET.Proof once again that most of these idiots on this forum have never even SEEN a B&M Casino... could you imagine.... check.. "I raise"."um, sir, you can't raise"."Ok well I want to put 11 in the pot, is that ok?"
  20. We have a local bar that has a $20 tourney... what a bunch of donks there... I've played there 5 weeks and cashed EVERY time... my wife has played 2 weeks and took 2nd her first week, 1st last week. Usually 20-25 players...Anyway, I had 33 pocket on the BB with EVERYBODY limping, 25/50 blinds and I had average stack, around 1200.So there's like 500 in the pot (yeah no kidding!)I knew I couldn't get anyone to fold with a big bet so I checked.Flop 336I check, everyone checks. Like they were scared to try to steal the pot.Turn is an A. Now SOMEONE has an A... so I check. Guy to my left bets 150 (
  21. Playing online and someone said to someone "BLM". Then he typed "new no kik"Any idea?
  22. Funny.Thing is, no matter what people say if I were to win a bracelet it wouldnt' mean much to me. The money would, though. Could care less about the physical bracelet. That said, I wouldn't ever pawn it, if only to avoid being ragged on the rest of my life.
  23. Last Feb I was in Vegas and stopped by Bellagio, I just walked right up to the litle stairway that goes up to the "private" room where the Big Game is played... stood like 10 feet from the table right next to the dude running the room. He never said a word to me.I was well-dressed and acted like I knew what I was doing, wasn't looking "starstruck" or anything... That old lady with the hat was on the table right next to the stairs, and I can't remember which one but one of the Asian female players was there too. The Big Game was Jennifer H., Phil Ivey, and I think Farha but not sure, could only
  24. Remind me to NEVER play at your house...First... You can't show cards face up in a tourney, EVER... especaily when there's other people left to act.Second... what is the blind structure? $10 in chips and 5cent 10cent blinds to start? How boring... yeah I know it's all the same but crap, start out with 2500 chips and 25/50 blinds... TJ was right to call even with KJ against a random hand HOWEVER by showing the QQ, TJ now knows that his straight possibilities are almost non-existant. I don't know if one of the Q's was a diamond, but that could effect TJ's decision also. That's why you don't turn
  25. No offense man, and I really wish you luck...but get rid of the Juno email addy... spend $10 to register a REAL URL and spend $100 for a year of hosting for that real url.You gotta be and look professional, above all. I myself wouldn't play in your tourney because on the surface it looks like a hit-and-run organization. Especailly when playing poker (questionable legal issues) for money. You also really need to get a lawyer and check the laws. I know in Indiana, you can run a poker tourney but you as an organization cannot make ANY money from it (volunteer work ONLY). In Michigan, the people ru
