  1. you are definetly behind here most of the time, but are you behind often enough to lay down here? not sure, 12-1 is laying you some nice odds.
  2. if it makes you feel any better i woudlve folded here also. With that many callers you have to figure some for a J, 4 or flush.Love to hear what others have to say
  3. hehe smash i was waiting for that from you.Id say i have played maybe another 50,000 hands that i havent logged because i either didnt have PT or was just too lazy to set up Ultimate Buddy. I agree 6.16 isnt sustainable, but i have been winning ridiculously well virtually right the way through. I seriously think i can beat the 1/2 6 max games for 4BB/100... the play is really just that bad.
  4. I think it's an ego thing. If you're a consistent winning middle-limit player for a while, you start feeling like you can beat anyone. No matter what you're making, you're sure that you can make more if you just move up another level. My mental cutoff is 30/60. If I had 200 BB, (not that I do right now), I'd feel perfectly comfortable in a 30/60 game and reasonably assured that I'd do well in the long run. Just the idea of 50/100 or higher though scares the bejeezus out of me. That's not something I'd even want to try taking a shot at until I had a good 50 or 100K in the bank.i know exactly wha
  5. I'll take my analysis back then. Id now say its 50/50 between a flush and a smaller 2 pair. set is also possible.Problem now with 3 betting is you will get 4 bet if you are beat, whereis if you are ahead you will only get called. Whilst you could make a big laydown if it gets capped, i think its pretty difficult given the potsize. Calling probably isnt too bad here.
  6. I said don't 3-bet it because the flush did get there on the turn. With position against an aggressive player I'm playing a flush the same as villain. Hell, with any strong hand I'm playing this way against an aggressive villain. With the flush out it looks like a lose two, win one proposition. If I put in the 2nd bet I'm raising for sure and calling a 3-bet. I just don't like having to call a cap if I'm the one putting in the 3-bet bet. That said, no more coordinated than this board is, it probably is a 3-bet.Jeffsorry mate my bad.
  7. yeh, you have position. Must raise on the flop here.
  8. i think a 3bet on the flop is the way to go here. I think if he had a Q he would go for the check raise on the flop, but everyone plays differently. Also depends on your gut feel, but i think against your average 6 handed player you are ahead at least 50% of the time here, so a call down is ok if you want to play it this passively.
  9. um. are you trying to convince us you are a good player because you made a full house?
  10. if he is an ABC player, check behind on the turn, the reason for the 3 bet on the flop was to get a free card as you think you are behind here.Take it and fold to a river bet. This line of play is based totally on your description of him though- basically he wont be check raising with a hand you can beat. make things cheap for yourself.Another point is he may very well come out betting on 5th street, so yu can get a raise in here if a K, 3 or hits.
  11. well if it helps my VPIP is 48...now id say thats high.im happy to compare other stats with you if it helps.
  12. im liking a 3bet here as he could be making this c/r with any pocket pair (including those that beat us), although specifically pocket pairs below 9's as well as a flush draw with over ie AQ I 3 bet, call a cap and see what he does on the turn. If he leads out, fold. if he checks, bet and fold to a c/r. whatever happens ill be checking as behind if the opportunity arises on the river.
  13. my stats show 6.16BB/100 over 6,200 hands. thought id mention it.
  14. id love to know how anyone can say not to 3bet here. What does he have that beats us? set- pops it on the turn. flush draw? didnt get there.3 5- very very unlikely.A 7- very likely.A x, 2nd most likely.A10-AQ is a suprisingly realistic possibility here.
  15. i dont know the math but im pretty sure on average 3rd pair beats a random holding, and that is exactly what A has.
  16. wow what a laydown. werent queens like the seconds nuts on that board? and heaps of outs if they werent. monster laydown. this wasnt dodging bullets it was dodging shit dropped by B-52's.
  17. Something else... i think 10 10 isnt strong enough a hand to get cute with here, it is far too vulnerable and there are heaps of ugly flops for it, i mean anything with an overcard doesnt exactly excite you.I much prefer a play like this with AA or KK, where you forgo a small bet to disguise a much stronger hand that is a big favourite to win against any other holding, and further, is almost certainly going to be ahead on the flop making a check raise a reasonable choice (obvious anomalie here is with KK on a A high board, in which case id prefer to lead out with KK and fold to a raise in a sm
  18. I have to agree with a preflop raise here with 10 10. even OOP. 10's are a very strong preflop hand, but vulnerable post flop especially out of position. Wouldnt all this mean a smooth call is better? NO!Believe it or not, by raising here you are actually going to make your post flop play easier alot of the time. Lets see what i mean: Preflop MP calls, you raise, MP calls.Flop: you lead out, he raises, you 3 bet, now he either caps or calls... you get more information about his hand because he knows more about your hand, so he can react with a fuller set of information. On a seperate topic, thi
  19. I think this is one of the tougher situations for low limit players, how to proceed post a capped flop with only a pair, even if its an over pair...alot of players will check call here fearing if they bet out they will get raised on the expensive street and they arent particularly happy about calling two more big bets "with only a pair"... was this something along the lines of your thinking?
  20. im not at all surprised to hear he had A 10. i see this sort of play all the time. What i dont get is why check the turn if you are prepared to cap the flop... If you think your A 10 is good on the flop then it is still good on the turn unless your opponent has the extremely unlikely 99 (we will assume 9 10 isnt even under consideration given the preflop raise UTG 10 handed. From the A 10 perspective, you have to realise you are in trouble when you get 3 bet on a 10 high flop from an UTG raiser.... capping then check/check is well, err thank the donks, even though he got away from it cheap on t
  21. seems alot like a flush draw which got there...check call the river.Other option is to bet/fold to a raise, but this opponent seems tricky so the check/call is a safer option, especially as the most likely draw he was on got there. check/folding is a little to weak imo, espeically given pot size.
  22. only thing i would like to debate is the first hand.I think you have to bet the turn, and fold to a raise. However, if you just get 1 smooth caller on the turn, i prefer a check/call here.Reason: Many player will check down ace with a weak kicker, so you save yourself a bet. Also, players will make a hopeless bluff if they are checked to. Third- no ace is folding here- so the only reason to bet at the river is hoping a weaker hand will call- and i feel the above to points outweigh the advantage from my 3rd point..opinions?
  23. considering you can find pretty weak lhe games say 10/20, 15/30 and ihave heard even higher on party, im surprised more solid players dont just stay at these levels- considering that you dont have to be great to hae a decent edge here, and at 15/30 you can make some serious, serious money, in particular multi-tabling online. opinions?
  24. talk to your opponents, seem like you are being honest with them and try and gauge their response as to their opinion of you.
  25. im expecting some widely varying respones.i have 7,000 hands loggedat 1/2 6max for a win rate of 6.2BB/100... I doubt this is sustainable but i seriously think i can beat the game for around 3.5-4 BB/100, given that i have many more hands unlogged and i win very nicely.
