  1. I just played three tables of 2/4 cent for 45 minutes while waiting for laundry, and finished up a full 6 buy ins, almost all from one player. At 80 hands an hour, that's basically...333BB/100?So yeah, flukes happen
  2. He could easily have KK67 or something similar, but there are a surprising number of people who will call with naked overpairs on unconnected boards as well. I'd let it go.
  3. That's kind of my thought too. Being able to see hole cards would do the trick though. When most people say "money laundering" in regards to online poker, they're generally referring to a drug dealer needing to make money seem legitimate, rather than someone stealing a credit card number. The "ton of fraud prevention" mentioned is known as PCI Standards (Payment Card Industry). Being PCI compliant is a HUGE task, since it consists of very strict technical and policy requirements that must be met. At one job I tried to get them PCI compliant, and...well, gave up very quickly.http://www.pcicompl
  4. There's no reason to just call, unless you think the button is folding for $10.40 more for some reason.
  5. I guess that's kind of what I'm assuming (that it drops down to heads up). At 1/2 cent though, I guess there's a decent possibility of random other people chasing with Q-high flush draw, etc. I'm still not crazy about the idea, but I see where he's coming from at least.
  6. I think this is the key fact. There's also the social aspect - "Hey Bob, we're going to the casino after work, wanna come?" that leads a lot of people to play live who wouldn't normally play live or online. Then add in the fact that most of the entertainment/social people go with the expectation of losing their money...If the fine citizens of my state hadn't cockblocked the casino that was going to be built two blocks from my house, I'd have stopped playing online.(Though with the uncertainties of what a casino would do the property values and such, I'm not exactly horribly broken up about it
  7. What's re-raising him on the flop that doesn't have him beat, though? I'm not sure I see the value of getting all your chips on that flop.
  8. I'm assuming the question is "What do I bet?" rather than "What do I do?"I'd be tempted to slow down slightly and only bet 1/4-1/2 of the pot to try and tempt them to raise, but that depends on the player. Without more information on them I'd stick with the 3/4 pot.
  9. It's possible he's bullying with a 500x BB stack (unless that's a typo), but I think you can find a better spot to take some money off him. is a decent setup for a bluff back at him, but with two of your outs gone, I'd let it go.
  10. I hate home games like that - generally easy money, but people complain about stupid crap. If anything, they should be complaining to the dealer for constantly choosing a game not everyone knows. The first hand I agree about shoving the flop, but with stacks of about 55 big blinds (I think?), you're not always going to be able to get away from it anyway.
  11. If positions were reversed, would river action change any?I definitely see what you mean about the turn though, thanks, that helps a lot.
  12. Thanks, I've been getting the feeling that my reads are ok, but that my play is too passive. My concern with not shoving on the turn in the second hand was that I may still be playing catch up, and I didn't want to commit any more money with still basically a draw in case he had me beat all the way. I guess the fallacy of this is that if he was ahead, he would have bet it as well? Being out of position hurt me there I think.Should I shove on the river when he checks behind on the turn? The only thing that would normally kill me with that river is AAxx with spades, which I thought was very likel
  13. Results are at the very bottom of the post now after a blank space, so you can read them safely.
  14. I can't get the HH converted because Cake Poker sucks. I'll try and make it clear. I'm attaching screen shots from the client, in case that's easier to read.First hand was at a 5/10 cent shorthanded PLO table, we were 6 handed. I'd been playing against the villain for probably an hour and a half, so I felt like I had some good reads on him. Second hand on a 10/20 cent shorthanded PLO table. I had been there the same amount of time (hour and a half), villain #2 was the only player who had been there the whole time. Villan #1 was new to the table, and seemed like a weak player. I knew villain
  15. I think this is a fold. You're probably behind on the flop, and there's a good chance he has the nut flush draw, and/or your gutshot outs. AAxx is the obvious other possibility. I can see an argument for leading out on that flop and hoping to shut down KKxx, but in this situation it probably ends the same way. This looks like a situation where you're likely either a small favorite or huge dog.
  16. Then that solves the question of how your cash games are going, eh?
  17. Someone obviously had a better low.He probably chopped it and isn't counting it as a fully won pot since he didn't scoop. Or he forgot about the one pot 20 minutes ago.
  18. You have an outdated multiplier, you're forgetting Congress changed Daylight Savings a couple of years ago. The answer is actually 42.
  19. Here I'm all excited about getting 4th in one PLO tournament and winning another in one night, and you have to go burst my bubble like that.Oh, and Taco Bell is tits.

  21. Heh, I lived in Uganda for two years when I was a kid, it's taken me 17 years now to get to the point that I'd even consider going back. Enjoy your trip, I know it'll be memorable in every sense of the word.
