  1. I agree...this game just started. Why donk yourself into being short stack or placing last.
  2. I totally understand that you are trying to get max value here but I think sitngo are played in a totally different way then a cash game no limit. You should take the pot there and not allow him the opporunity out draw you. If he has a hand he will call you. He has enough chips to cover you. Mind you the reasoning for me to push here is that there is a straight draw and a flush draw still out there. If it was a total rainbow flop and you turned trips then I can see the motive with your half the pot or pot size bet.(IMO)I wouldn't want to give him the opportunity to call me and take me out. Al
  3. This is a 10 man sitngo... You pushed all your chips in on the turn. With how aggressive the blinds reach and your hand don't bet half the pot or even the pot. Push all your chips and try to double up. Most donkey's in these format call hoping to hit there hand. If you get taken out then you buy into another one but this is clearly a push on the turn. Take the pot now.No other hand beats you other than a boat here. Any draw you have him pay with one card left and if he calls with a TpWk then he's pretty much drawing close to dead. Also (imho) Aj suited is hand you shouldn't really be playing th
  4. I'm still mad about this hand lmao...I didn't post the results but I'm an idiot and called and he had 3, 4 of spades for a flopped flush. I had some outs as I needed a spade.Of course I get a spade on the river but it was the wrong damn spade. He spikes a 5 and straight flushes me lmao.
  5. Shrimp... FYI: I didn't consider folding my Kings pre-flop. I considered folding when the flop hit because I was checked then pushed into.Remember utg raise to a dollar and I re-raised to 3 and called my pre-flop bet. All the action happened on the flop which is what I had questions on whether it was a call or fold. That is where I agree I probably should have bet 4-5 dollars pre-flop
  6. That is true...He would have called me with whatever I did since he was holding qq so it was just unfortunate that he flopped a set on me.
  7. I agree with you and that is a valid point. A raise of maybe 4 or 5 might have made a difference. But most people at "these" levels do not call what I consider a big bet at these stakes in early position with suited connectors. I would be more inclined to see them call with PP.I here what you are saying though.
  8. That would be read dependent. Why would I re-rasie 6-7 dollars pre-flop to win 1 dollar pre-flop with Kings?? I would encourage a player with a weaker holding to call me.I would see that kind of re-raise of that amount on a .25/.50 cent game. If he felt he had a stronger hand I assumed he would have re-raised and then we would have pushed pre-flop.
  9. For a .10/.25 cent game I would consider that a decent re-raise but wanting action. Betting 9 dollars on the flop with 3 invested before pre-flop brings me to 12 with me having around 25 or less. Half my money is already in here. So either way you can build a case based on your read it's a call or fold hand. I doubt very many people would fold in this situation. But at this point when he pushed I am pot comitted.
  10. Well the A-hole had Queens and snapped me off with a set. Although I had a little over half my stack in there I wonder with the pre-flop betting if I should have folded and just cut my loses and reloaded to the max again.
  11. You know thanks for pointing that out Simo. I didn't correctly add the pre-flop and post flop amounts correctly. You know what I had to have bet more than 6 dollars on the flop since there was a little more than 9 pre-flop to begin with.Even if I had bet .75 to the pot I have pretty much more than half my stack in there so based on what you and nomad mentioned I don't really have a choice but to call this.
  12. You know I think about this more and more after the fact and I really start to think this is a fold. With such a big re-raise pre-flop there is no disguising the strength of my hand here so there is basically only two cards you actually put me on A's or Kings. I am percieved as a TAG player although I like to raise in late position to change things up. For someone to push on me after I bet the flop that to me clearly shows a lot of strength more so than being on a draw. Not to metion I was checked raised here.I see this a lot with overcards being overplayed and being snapped of by sets. My que
  13. I totally agree with you that this can be read dependent although I'm multi tabeling and not really paying attention and just playing as standard. Does AA or KK with a spade in your hand change your decision here heads up? Queens is the 3rd nut. Someone with nut or 2nd nut flush would probably not push all-in here because they would want to get paid off. I want to get a few more opinions on this. I'm not sure especially with the BB the only one calling if this is -EV or +EV to call down the road. Then again I'm not sure if position matters at all with this flop. I think it's a mistake to make
  14. Another hand that I wanted opinions on that I did not save but it was just bothering me. .10/.25 max buy in 25Full Ring GameHero mid pos.( approx 25)A-hole BB (has me covered)Hero shows QQHero raises to 1 dollar everyone folds to BB who calls.Flop comes 7 spades, 6 spades, 2 spades. I know this can play a big difference but I believe the 8 of clubs to be the correct card.A-hole UTG +1 checks.Hero Bets the pot which is around 6 dollarsA-hole1 folds.A-hole pushes all-in. 16. no read on player since i'm multi-tableing and on this table 1 dollar raises indicate some decent holding other than small to medium pp . 17. I still like to see a flop with my JJ's. I hate pushing with a hand like this. (imo)you're pushing all-in on a re-raise to possibly to win 40-50 bucks in dead money to a re-raiser that may have a stronger hand. I think in the long run this is -ev. That's great that with this current situation you made the proper read but laid down your hand, but I think in most cases you will run into a hand that's better than yours and this is a fold.I would be surprised if there were a lot of players out there with 10's and lower that would re-raise after two raises just to isolate a weak holding they have.D
  18. LMAO....that is funny. at some point someone should have either pushed all-in or just called.
  19. Well I think you either raise big with jacks or you limp oop. That hand is so vulnerable especially in a three way flop that it can't withstand a re-raise in most cases. If you were going to put that small a bet pre-flop I could see you doing it with queens and higher but not jacks.1) Short stack is going all-in no matter what you do limp or raise. I think by raising bigger you force 10's into a tougher decision. I think he would be more inclined to call the re-raise from short stack as opposed re-raising. If you made the bet higher and short stack pushed all-in I doubt 10's would call with yo
  20. I think this is card dependent and table dependent. HOw many times are people raising pre-flop. How many times am I getting premium cards. Sometimse I see like 20-28% of my flops. Some nights I stare at my computer looking for one overcard and see 10-15%. Defnitley believe it is game dependent. But I would assume on average (imho) I think 15-20% of the flops.
  21. QTPI agree with the flat call here on the turn. You have TP/2ndK against a hand that can be anywhere from TPTK down to a set. You could possibly be behind here and I wouldn't risk my whole stack on just top pair here. Hopefully you do get a read on the river and pick up your flush. Hopefully you don't run into the nutz.
  22. Since my pre-flop bet wasn't big enough it really puts me at a disadvantage and I would have folded this pre-flop. I honestly depending on my position like to limp in with J's and see a flop. I ran quick numbers just to look at percentagesAk against JJ preflop is a 57%/42% favorite. In a three way pot even if re-raiser had something as bad a QJ suited and you called the re-raise you are actually behind. If you had a strong read that player was on a lower pocket pair then I would call and play accordinly to the flop. But either one could be playing overcards J's and above. (imho) long term playi
  23. Very good analyzing and I agree as well. Pick a better spot to invest your money. he's showed strength at this hand and I just focus on picking a better spot to snap him off.
