  1. Where is that option located??In the lobby of the download client, options, preferences. One of the preferences is full screen, not sure if that will help you out but I hope it will. thx for the idea. I tried it and it is along the right lines but not the right fix for me. It expanded the screen even far beyond what it was before so that I am guessing fully 1/4 of it is out of my view. But the same programming that they 'enabled' to allow youto use Full Screen is what they need to enable to allow me to use "fit to screen". ti is basic web design 101.
  2. I would be shocked if all the other sites do not enable this feature. It takes nothing away from them and is a simple thing to do when setting up the site.I have no problem anywhere else.I cannot even mini-view the Full contact poker game.
  3. Is this question directed at me? Whether it is a skin or not they should be able to enable the 'Restore-down/Maximize' button so that anyone on non-standard monitors can view it.At the upper right corner of your screen we all have three buttons. The first an Underscore is to minimize. The third is to exit or close the page and the second is to allow adjustment of size. When setting up a web page you have to enable that function. If you do not then only standard monitors will be able to use and view. I have often contacted Webmasters and asked them to "enable"this feature when I happen acro
  4. I am having no luck attempting to play this online site.I use a non-standard monitor (big screen TV) with my computer and I need the button "fit to screen" (centre button in upper right corner) to be enabled so that my computer can adjust the page size to fit.It seems this site has that function disabled. I logged into my first game. Paid my entry fee. But when the playing screen came up I could not see the bottom half or left side of it. I tried shrinking it and sizing it and moving it but nothing helped. Many newbie sites when racing to set up over look minor things like this but that ne
  5. I too have been hesitant to give out my CC info on line. I know it is not an issue and it is my problem but I still havenot done it yet.I only found this site as part of DN promotion on a local Toronto radio show and I have been playing for free on line there. I enjoy the online game and just won a qualifier tourney for a private tourney with the WSOP.I play a lot of NL at the nearby Casino's and am thus far a winning player. Can you tell me if there is a way for me to make money playing poker without actually giving my credit card or putting out any money.I am still really naive on this so p
  6. The Protege was a short lived failed reality show with Marc Cuban that copied the Apprentice.Daniels version will be much better!
  7. This has to be one of the funniest posts ever. I mean c'mon...you are disappointed because Daniel is getting more involved with poker? I guess you would have liked his big announcement to be that he was renouncing everything to do with poker and getting a day job as an accountant or something.Thx for the laugh.
  8. Weird. I cannot view the link you provided in your post during regular viewing but now that I have quoted it for reply...there it is.I thought something was wrong with me because I keep seeing people refer to things (links) that are not posted. Now I know they were.Off to technical support I go!
  9. People who only know Toronto by the core see it as a cement block just as I used to. However I live only blocks from the core and have access to more park and protected land then probably most small city folk.At Yonge and St.Clair I am just 3 mnutes off the Don valley Ravine system. I have mountain biked it for 6 straight hours and not covered one quarter of it. and I am 15 minutes away from our major Beach.
  10. Huulllo! Did I just miss it above? W hat was the big announcement??
  11. And watch out for the she-males...unless of course you are into that
  12. oh...ok. I am still smarting though but I have no doubt that when daniel hosts an event in Australia I will get invited
  13. Oh. The Brass Rail on Yonge near Bloor is great. (15 minute walk from Hard Rock). Middle pricFor Your Eyes Only on King near Spadina is top notch (25 minute walk from HR) but expensive.Filmores on Dundas (5 min from HR) is cheap and dirty.
  14. On a Tuesday Night in the city things are not that crazy. But with a Leaf game (NHL) in town you should find some action. If you want to hang out with the downtown biz (suit) crowd then head over to the Keg restaurant on York street at Adelaide (10 minute walk from Hard Rock) and hang out in the lounge. You will see many fine ladies there. If you want something less formal then I suggest the Esplanade Beer Market (Esplanade St at Church st. 15 minute walk from Hard rock) which serves beers from around the world and where you are likely to see the Maple Leafs hanging out after the game.If you w
  15. You gave me last minute hope as I rushed open my Junk Mail box and then it was dashed when there was nothing there but viagra ads.Have fun all.
  16. I only play live at either Fallsview Casino ($5/$5 nl) or Casino Niagara ($1/$2 nl). My first ever online game was this week in Daniel's AM640 promotional game. With regards to tells, yes there are many. But you must be careful because each casino has a pretty sizeable contigent of regulars who know every newbie face who shows up and they will play games on you such as faking tells to induce you into false confidence. I do it all the time when I am in a pot against a newbie to the casino who seems to know the game.SOme very telling tells are:- sitting forward and trying to look mean = bluff-
  17. Two underground games were robbed in the Niagara Falls area about two months ago. The M.O was 4 guys with shot guns and hand guns.
  18. I only play cash games at Casino's and there is definately a 'getting to know the lay of the land' type scenerio that goes on in most. At any given point I am sitting with between 4-6 guys who I know as regular faces at that particular casino and there are usually about the same amount of newbies who just have walked in off the Casino floor.IT is tough to just sit in and win when you have no idea of the style of the regulars who play there. Is the guy who seems to be always raising into you a LAG or is Tight? I would know and you do not. Advantage to me. Are you in a pot with one LAG wh
  19. I logged on and got to play just before the contest closed.I started out strong by projecting a very tight aggressive image by showing all my winning hands to show I was not using a lot of bluffs. I then managed to change gears and took down a lot of pots by bluffing. I had run my $1000 up to about $4000 and was our table leader for quite some time. There were about 600 people logged into my session and I was number 120(?) when I busted out.I ended up short stacked when my AQ suited got beat by 22 with the board showing Q92A6 rainbow. With less then a $1000 left and my wife now home and wan
  20. I just found this forum and plan to spend more time here and I think the suggestion that a few of your loyal supporters get a complimentary invite (instead of just the draw) has merit. Musicians do this at their concerts to promote loyalty and to ensure a few happy and informed faces are attending and participating. As a guy who has some experience in event management, from a past life, I can tell you that if 250 are invited the night before that you will likely only have about 30-50% turn-out. Handing out 25-50 special passes is a good way to ensure the event does not appear under attende
  21. With CO being a bad loose player I would make this call. There are just too many hands you would be ahead of and/or dominate that he could have and you know he would still make that same push even with any of them. Conversely there are only a few hands you would be behind and as others pointed out you would have outs.
