  6. Be sure to pay attention to stack sizes in the blinds when doing this...If there is a 15k stack in the blinds who wakes up with a hand:1. You have to callWorse.2. You have to show Q3o lol
  7. Hi Daniel :)I think the only way to counteract the negative effects of this drawnout campaign will be to have an Obama/Clinton (hopefully) or Clinton/Obama ticket.I think that is what this is headed for.
  8. The fact that we just reshoved on him makes this even MORE of an insta shove imo.Think about it from brit's perspective, he's going to call you with a wider range here than usual which is what we want. The thing that worries me is his raise size... is that a standard open for him?
  9. Unless I'm reading this wrong you have 16 BBs, which is a very playable stack. I don't think theres many hands that shoving here is the best play.I wouldn't mind a shove with some smaller pairs that don't flop well out of position, but in general, if I have a hand strong enough to go all the way with here this deep, I'd rather raise it, and hope to get reraised by someone making a play to get all of my chips in the middle.Once you get down to like 7 - 10 BBs, shoving is much more acceptable with antes taken into account imo.
  10. Wow... awesome that you're just basically playing for 12500 first prize and no commitment to play the seat.Definitely going to play a ton of these!
  11. Its the same thing, except it makes it easier for smaller investors to get a share and also more work involved on your end.$50 shares = 770 shares$100 shares = 385 shares$385 shares = 100 sharesIn the stock market, if a 1000$ share splits into 20 50$ shares, an owner of one old share still owns the same amount of the company when they receive 20 of the new shares. Same concept.
  12. For some reason, I read this as a MP raise and a button shove.... not sure why. That makes his range a bit wider here imo, and I don't dislike the call nearly as much.Imo, even a tighter image goes out the window when a big stack raises on the button close to a bubble.
  13. I don't use it at all....Just wondering how many use it, and if you find it helpful.
  14. BS river.. you run like me.In any case, thats a pretty light shove on the bubble. If you had a read that he is the type of player that is shoving wide here, then your call is fine. Just in general, a reshove on the bubble from a player who has a stack securely in the money is generally very strong.
  15. Agree with the play and everything Checky has said thus far.Lets put ourselves in the villains shoes... how do we play an AA4 here? An AA2 here?I'd almost be inclined to check / call down against a villain that I think is capable of putting me to the test without the 5 in their hand. Is that crazy and passive?
  16. Normally I agree. However this is THE bubble. If this guy loses this hand he makes $0. Taking that into account as a huge factor in narrowing his range, this is a fold for me.
  17. You have a nice stack now.Ask yourself... what hands would I do this with (putting yourself in villains shoes) on the tourney bubble when I could easily fold and take a conservative approach?I think he shows up with hands that have you drawing to 3 outs like 90% of the time here.Abusing the bubble = raising wide, but folding when you catch resistance from someone who HAS to have a hand to play back at you imo. There are hands to call reshoves with, but A9 plays so bad against his reshoving range here, so I think a fold is optimal. So what'd he have?
  18. IPITS... Trips are so overplayed, he could EASILY have a better jack here or have turned a spade flush. Might as well try to induce a bluff, I don't think we're ahead very often here, but the price is decent.
  19. The guy bet about 1M on the turn and TJ moved in for less than 3M if I remember correctly.
  20. My argument is that A9 is absolutely smashed by the range of a guy who is shoving in on the bubble (and doesnt need to) into a stack he doesnt think he's getting to fold much. Not to mention if you win the hand there is no bubble to abuse anymore.
  21. 1. Decide how much you want each share to be worth, it really doesnt matter except for maintenance purposes with dividing out payments. With smaller shares, you're likely to have more investors which could be a bish.2. Divide total buyins by value of shares to get number of shares3. Pay back total buy-ins first, then divide 50% of profit over the shares. So lets say you have 38.5k in buyins and want to do 385 $100 shares. You cash for 200k (conservative estimate obvvv). Each share is owed $100 + 161.5k / 2 / 385 or like $310 bucksWhat I would do is sell the shares for the absolute minimum # of
  22. I like the way the hand was played. Raising a lot more preflop telegraphs the hand whereas, the way it was played it could be a lot of (very strong) hands. Think about how you would play this hand if it were AA or KK... you wouldn't be making some enormous rasie. Basically, we got what we wanted, 77 can't continue with this hand without flopping a set in most cases.
  23. I guess I really don't get what you're trying to accomplish here. Blasting in MP for 24ish BBs with AQs can't be a winning play. You got lucky here that a weaker hand called you, but I like a standard raise here. Way too deep to be open shoving a hand like this imo.Raising and then calling a shoves gives weaker hands a chance to get themselves into trouble.
