  1. correction i didnt complain about it being cracked....i was just confused y x3000 and smash said it was a bad move to go all-in with the best hand. censored like that happens to me all the time, just wonder if I could have possibly saved moneySon, you had top pair. Ever heard of two pair? or 3 of a kind?
  2. Great post, teknowledg. I think if he had 2 pair or trips on the flop, he would have re-raised you.

I completely agree. And I'm 100% sure that Eddie did spell it "Titl" and changed it once his mistake was realized.
  5. I can envision the day when i will actually have to consider people playing 93.Pretty soon, every moron in the world will be betting with 93.
  6. I think Norman Chad is hilarious. He's always making references to his 2nd wife etc...I think it would be great to get Norman Chad and Howard Lederer commentating together.
  7. Im interested on people's opinions on how to play top pair. Im kinda wondering how far people will go with it. If i have top pair on the flop i will usually raise, but if i get re-raised i will most likely fold. If the turn is a blank i will usually bet pretty big and try to take the pot right there. Any opinions?
  8. Absolutely!!! Are you crazy? You have to know pot odds to be a better player.
  9. I don't think this site is spiraling downward. Of course there are a few bad eggs here and there, but for the most part the people on this forum are good people interested in improving their poker game. I think with the increasing amount of members, the more progress will be made. Let's face it, this is the best poker forum on the internet and always will be!
  10. I don't know why you would think that. But you had the nut full house, its very hard to lay that down. I don't think you did anything wrong, just a bad beat. And what kinda idiot would call a preflop raise with Q4o?
  11. I think you had to fold there. Its obvious he's not blufing, and you must ask yourself, 'Is top pair the best?' Most likely not. I would've probaly put him on 77 or QJ. Most people would've re-raised you preflop with JJ.
  12. No prob, bro. I do stuff like that all the time. :-)
  13. You want to get called! I wouldn't have gone all-in. I would have value bet about 3x BB, and if he raised you, then go all-in. It really doesn't matter though, one way or another you were gonna go all-in on that hand and there wasn't anything you could have done about it. Just a bad beat.
  14. You have to play straightforward. Best way to do it.Another thing that has usually worked for me alot is this tell (only works for weak players)... After the flop, if your opponent looks at his hole cards, then looks at the flop (almost like hes studying it), he probably doesn't have anything. I've played plenty of weak players, and that tell has usually worked for me.
  15. Uh... didn't the guy have JJ?I would go all-in.
  16. I also wanted to add another point...Although I think its great that a world class player like josh is offering poker lessons, I have learned alot from what daniel and other people have to say on this website. I really don't think you need to spend 1,000 to learn some advanced poker tips, just read the forums here!
  17. I couldn't agree more. The only song by oar that is better than that is night shift...stir it up.I also recommend Phish and Lynard Skynard.
  18. I think thats where you made your main mistake. You were pretty close to making the money. Why not wait until your in the money, then start making plays on people? And you're also out of position.
  19. The answer is simple, play loose and aggressive as hell.
  20. I tried the nutbar last night at home game with some buddies from work. We had 2 tables and my table was pretty tight. I raised every hand, and I didn't even look at my cards 25% of the time. I keep raising until somebody re-raised me. I ended winning the tourny. I know daniel said to use this cautiously as a drill, but does anyone here adapt this to their playing style?
  21. I would say yes. In that situation its likely to be a coin flip, and its less than 3x BB. Now if a larger stack decides to play also, then i'd stay out of it.
  22. I agree that annie shouldn't have been there, but espn had to get a woman on there for ratings. As for Raymer, i think he should have played in it. If they wouldn't have let Raymer in, it would have lessened the prestige of the WSOP Main Event. I mean, you win the the biggest tournament in the world, shouldn't that give a chance to play with big guys?
  23. I don't understand why everyone hates raymer so much. Just because he's lucky, doesn't mean he is a bad poker player. The guy outlasted 2700 people, that obviously says alot about the guy.
  24. I read in one of daniel's articles that books etc. can teach you the fundamentals, but noone could teach creativity, instinct, and table image. I think 10K is just ridiculous.
