  1. google tells me that if this one is like his other films it will be streaming in November, which seems like a long damn time away. i doubt i hit the theater anyways though, i havent been to the theater since before covid.
  2. if there were really cyclops that existed and he instead cast a normal two-eyed 7 footer i'd question that. helen of troy is supposed to be super hot, and super hot women exist so i'd have cast one of them. and a tranny as a soldier? again, seems to me he is making a statement with these decisions and that is his right as an artist. but some people arent gonna like it, not a big deal really. the film will either be good or it won't, and i'll find out when i see it. the whole imax filming thing is interesting to me too because there are so few screens that can actually show it in its
  3. im gonna have to go get an x-ray/mri done to see what the hell is going on back there. hopefully a slipped disc or something and not a TUMAH on my spine. you can probably guess some of my feelings on the odyssey. i dont really get whey he made the casting decisions he did when the reports are they arent even in the film all that long. and he should have known this stuff would be discussed and the non-stop nonsense about it has made me way less excited about it than i should be. all that said i will obviously see it when it hits HBO max and im sure its a technically stunning film and i wil
  4. nothing like getting a little trim on the weekend. im felling quite tired tonight, after another long week of pointless work. but we mark it off and get one week closer to retirement. my back is still in shambles. its making my feet and ankles ache too. it's really quite disconcerting.
  5. sugar is terrible for you and incredibly addicting. its the most used drug in the world and i love it. i try to think about it like that, telling myself i only want it becuase im addicted to it. but i know thats true and also that it is delicious. i wish i was elbow deep in a key lime pie right now, but instead im going to eat wild sockeye salmon and nothing else because i feel much better when i eat as near to carnivore as i can. my favorite thing about the period shows is how willing some people were to die for their beliefs back then. the show focuses a lot in the first two sea
  6. watched the irishman again with my mom on sunday. pacino was really great in this movie, i dont think he gets the credit he deserves. pesci was amazing too. deniro was pretty meh, but that might have been the way the part was written.
  7. the tudors is pretty solid, but i am a big fan of shows about the old days and the kings and the church. its not as much action as i would prefer, like in the last kingdom, but the guy playing the king is good. and it has a young henry cavil. its on prime right now so if you like a show about that period of england i'd give it a chance. sugar is defintely my weakness. i was able to lose 90 pounds by not eating fried foods and sugar for 11 months, which should tell you how much of that i was eating before. but damn i love it so much. i do like feeling better than other people though,
  8. lotta calories in that thing i had some halo top yesterday, its pretty good. not like real ice cream but still solid. im actually watching sam neil in season 1 of the tudors right now. though he is about to get banished for failing to secure the king a divorce. the cardinal overpromised and underdellvered, a mistkae you just cannot make in his position. though the king was pretty unreasonable with the pope about the whole thing if you ask me.
  9. yeah gotta hit that early morning before the sun gets up and going for the day. when i was house shopping i didnt mind not having a deck and it ended up that way. i just have a walk out off the kitchen with a slab and no deck. so i get to skip that maintenance at least.
  10. sadly with movies we can never go back to when everyone making them wasn't so self aware on how everything would be perceived and everything that came before it. they were just making kick ass movies they thought people wanted to see. i have been enjoying going to the casino, though i got my dick snapped off last night. in the space of five hands i had kings twice and both times a hyper agrresive player had aces. i was unable to avoid disaster both times and got punished. but that shit happens, i don't think i did much wrong. perhaps a true professional gets away from both but i am not su
  11. im sure you would choke me out in a matter of seconds. i'm incredibly weak and out of shape. i went to the casino last night and won 325. 1/3 poker is alive and better than ever if you can just wait for the nuts. probably go back tonight and keep grinding away, though im not really sure what im grinding towards. air force one is streaming on prime and i watched it the other night. just a classic 90s action movie with Harry Ford. they gotta get back to making simple movies like this. you have the good guys, you have the bad guys and you have them all on a plane. what can be better.
  12. are you improving on the mat? are we talking lethal skills here by the winter or what. i want you able to kill a man if you have to, but confident enough to only use it if you must.
  13. as Don Henley said, Don't look back, you can never look back I thought I knew what love was - What did I know? Those days are gone forever, I should just let 'em go, but... i can't go back yet, have to stay at least a year under company rules. its really not that bad, i just enjoy complaining. this stuff is really easy for me, i just RIGHTFULLY feel that i should be living the ultra rich lifestyle of a man of cape cod, or miami beach. and while i relax and have sex with WOMEN my money is working for me, compounding and compounding until i can buy my way out of anything. im over
  14. i still need to watch the new twisters movie with glen powell. i started it but turned it off for some reason. i think it might be becuase i like the idea of glen powell more than i like his acting. i couldnt finish the movie where he plays a hitman. way too romantic comedy and not enough bad ass action. he needs to take a role where he pretends to be tom cruise and not ryan reynolds. absolutely curb stomped at work today. as the pile grew and grew i contemplated just walking away. straight to key west, maybe even down to havana and just live off the grid. if my parents were both gone alr
