Naked_Cowboy 0
they decide to put these crappy ones on instead of the HORSE because of the conflict with the baseball world series?

EStormOk 0
They are acting like tonight is the last night of the broadcasts. Hopefully they just skipped a week and will go back to the ones they skipped.

Better push it back another week...I also love how ESPN managed to avoid nearly every historic milestone this year:-Madsen becoming youngest winner and double winner-Not one, not two, but three final table appearances by Phil including his 10th bracelet-Farha taking down Ivey (not historic but would have been fun to watch)I know ESPN can't broadcast every event, but you'd think they would have some sort of contingency plan to film an event if an interesting final table develops... When you're talking about producing tv shows, you're more than likely dealing with unions. Unions dont' really handle "hey, we need a full crew here tomorrow, phil ivey made a final table!" at 3:30 am. They did the second best thing doing 2 short features on madsen, one on hellmuth, and one on ivey. The return on getting a whole extra crew, changing the programming schedule, etc. is zero if they can't convince their advertisers to pay more based on the premise that a better show will bring more people to watch their commercials. The youngest bracelet winner ever AND he wins 2 and they don't show either final table? He was heads up with Lindgren once too - who wouldn't want to watch that? Hardly a mention of Bill Chen and he also won 2 bracelets! And arguably the most exciting poker player ever (at least in terms of TV), Phil Hellmuth, and they don't show his final table. Give me a break ESPN!

Give me a break ESPN!they didn't really have a choice. a tournament is either a tv tourny or not. it is predecided. Its not like if they see hellmuth they will make that a tv table. they just do it for the more popular tounrys-the nl ones not the ones madsen won
bmtphs05 0
true. The only time ESPN changed their plans on what tv final tables would be shown was when Chan won his 10th bracelet last year.

djnumb 0
I also love how ESPN managed to avoid nearly every historic milestone this year:I guess it ESPN just wanted to maintain the appearance that only the Main Event matters. They don't want to spread people's attention too thin.I mean no Stud, one Omaha, come on. And H.O.R.S.E. if they even air it now, is only the HE final table. That is BS. They should cover earlier in the tournament while they are still revolving games. It's all pros in the HORSE, so it should be good Tv for them.

Everybody who wants to see the HORSe event (including me) still watch the other events as well. ESPN wants to air shows that the average person will want to watch-holdem. if they don't air the HORSE, we might be a little mad but will still watch. if they did air the horse, the average viewer won't want to watch because they don't get it
