call the double with 3 hearts on the board???
It's mini-limt. Never believe someone has a flush unless you know he's rock solid or there are four to the flush on the board.A bet or raise usually means any pair, or an ace in their hand, or a draw to a flush or (rarely, because they can't see 'em) a straight.Button is probably looking to see if someone beats his QQ (he might have a flush, but I don't believe him with only 3 hearts on he board). SB holds a 9, a 10, or 2 pair and fears the Q or the flush. The double-gut is only 6 outs (the hearts will make a flush for someone) but you still have odds to call that last bet.Obviously our 20/20 hind-sight tells you that your play was good since the straight didn't hit...Otherwise, I never get involved in this hand. Small & medium connectors, suited or otherwise, require late position and at least 4 limpers in with me if I'm playing limit. How'd I do on my reads?

not me.Button cold calls flop 2 betsButton like his Heart a lot. or a better str8 made/drawSB likes his hand on the turnMy dbl guts are not to the nut str8sWe may disasgree here. I'm not ready to capitulate yet.Assuming flush is not made yet...There has to be heavy discouting on my outs. And given the sb called 2 cold...I don't feel anything but possibly a str8 could win it for me.Need a non-heart 7 or J 6 max outs..but...Any 8 splits any str8 I get with me.8J or K (JK has me beat already) makes a higher str8So maybe we say 4 outs, or approx 10 : 1 Pot's laying 10.50 : 1. For me, the strength of Button and SB said flush, or better str8 draws/made and that took care of any implied odds overlay for me.Am I wacko ?EDIT: and this is very rare for me to come into a pot in MP iwth suited connectors. I know this is generally a bad idea. For one, the table pfr < 5%. And I was praying for multi-way. I lucked out. However, the point of the post for me was to hear analysis concerning the flop raise and the turn bet/fold.Thanks for all the discussion so far!

Unless you are mixing up your play (for whatever reason), there is no need to get involved with that hand in that position. You need some limpers in there in order to make it worth your while IMO.I think you should have bet/called the turn.

(rare, loose, wishful...not the point of my post...I do thnak you for your time :-) )
