Some of you that love the Serge jinx, here is something to chew on.

I have never selected or had the pleasure( or displeasure) of having the great Sidney Crosby in any sort of hockey pool..This year I took him in a weekly head to head pool that I am in with Arp. Well up until this last couple of weeks I have been cursing him..

I am glad he is finally back and scoring in bunches..

(sorry now for the obligatory jinx, and possible injury)

Looking for advice.

Do or die game in my other league playoffs.

We both have La goalies( which my opponent is using)

I also have Chicago at Home to Carolina.

Do I roll with LA and keep the variance low , or use Chicago?

I don’t have fancy stats to predict score but The lineups are probably fairly even.

Dale:

Leddy NYI at Edm

vs

Faulk CAR at Chi

FCHL, who do you take?

Both have only 4 assists in 10 games, but Faulk has been hotter lately. FAULK

The O/U in the CAR/CHI game is 5.5 and in the NYI/EDM game it's 6.5. LEDDY

I have Leddy in my lineup tonight. FAULK

LA is the better play overall, I think. One of the best in the league. Bigger fave over Washington with higher odds at under 5.5.

I think I’d need my forwards to be a pretty massive dog to go for variance with goalies. Not sure that’s the case here, though I didn’t tally it up. I’d need at least a goal difference, probably closer to 2. Doubt we have that.

Is that a 20 team league? How did you guys end up with so many star forwards, is there a cap in the league?

Sorry if this is late, but I think I would go with LA too. Tough call, but Chi has been volatile, and maybe Carolina wakes up after the GM shuffle.

I guess go with LA since at home, but really tough call, since Wash could score a bunch too.

Congrats on at least having good choices.

Only 14 teams and few of the guys are clueless. I also have Matthews. Mcdavid and Matthews signed long term

I am in a keeper league with Arp..So Arp maybe shouldnt reply.

I am protecting one goalie..Jonathan Quick or Sergei Bobrovsky?

Dont really care about past this year... I feel like its pretty close...Head to head league with weekly games...(you play one game for the week)..

No funky stats..Just wins and shutouts get points(and also the rare goalie assist and goal but irrelevant)

I am leaning towards Bob, as I think the Jackets are in a better scenario in the East and probably better than the Kings..Bob is also a pending UFA

Bob is pretty clearly the better goalie, but if it's just Wins and shutouts? who knows. both guys will play 65-70 games. Pick whichever team has a higher vegas total.

I went with Bob

Offered a huge trade in the NGFHL, Darrell's pool..I am running very much under EV and I am a bit tilted and I may do the trade. Rules are very similar to AHL, however instead of $60 cap we have $1000 cap..Here is the offer:

I would get:

Miro Heiskanen...$25...UFA

Ryan Nugent Hopkins $58...UFA

Kevin Labanc $6 $11 $16 signed two more years

Oliver Wahlstrom...Farm

Max Lajoie.....$1

Raphael Lavoie ..18 year old projected to go top 10 in 2019 ( we can draft 16 year olds)

4 first round picks in 2019..Non of them are projected to be top 5

I give up:

Connor Mcdavid $85 UFA. Projected salary for next 3 years $120-$144-$170

John Moore

Kerby Rychel

my 2019 2nd 3rd and 4th round picks..

This is very interesting to me..I am currently just outside a playoff spot, but a favorite to make the playoffs

Some of my top players are

Matthews

Barkov

Scheiffele

E Kane

Simmonds

Dubois

Defence is weak..its a blockbuster..

Good questions..McDavid after the third year can be resigned again with the appropriate increases 40%-20%-20%

Starting salary for first round picks is $25..They must be called up when they play their 41st game in the NHL..Then can be signed up to 3 years after that.

There are 14 teams in the league.

I would say the top 15 players for 2019 are already drafted..
