most ridiculous opening sequence ever

not really, nope.     hey bigd, your favorite character made an appearance tonight.   i'll stand by my conviction he deserves an emmy.

honestly fx, a 1.75 hour premiere that is 50 minutes commercials? GTFO.

So, I'm guessing that since there hasn't been a post in here since the season premiere that I'm not the only one who is completely bored by the final season thusfar.

Blah blah, Jax is angry and manipulative with superhuman strength and no conscience...blah blah, Gemma needs to die, blah blah, Juice wants back in the club...

It's just so boring so far. Chibs and the new sherrif is about the only interesting thing that's happened so far. Everything else is just rehashed storyline.

I expected far better for the final season, what I'm seeing is the reason it's the final season.

new heights of ridiculousness.

Glad to see my favorite character make an appearance tonight. That

kissing scene with Tig

was hilarious.

most ridiculous opening sequence ever

The only surprise is that it took this long to get it. It really was kind of amazing. Along with all this ridiculous Tig/Venus stuff. Goggins sure is the fucking best, though.

I think Chuckie is going to be the one to take Jax out, as revenge for Gemma. I just have that feeling...can't think of any other reason why he was so conveniently there when Nero talked Wayne into going to Oregon to protect her.

And that line..."tell her I love her"...it's gonna be the Chuckie show in the finale. He still has his trigger fingers! ;)

at least one tv writer agrees with me. from an article titled 14 guest appearances worthy of a (emmy) nomination

Walton Goggins, 'Sons of Anarchy'

GUESTED AS: Venus Van Dam, the transgender escort who made appearances in the show's final three seasons.

WHY IT'S WORTHY: Goggins' deep affection and respect for the character — whose relationship with twisted biker Tig (the equally brilliant Kim Coates) arguably underwent the FX drama's most moving transformation, from comedic flirtation, to true friendship, to soul-baring, life-affirming love — has always shone through. Which is why the scene in which Venus and Tig confront the reality of their newly-consummated relationship in Season 7's "Faith and Despondency" is so mesmerizing. The honest conversation in the dark is filled with understanding and grace, and by the end of it, when Tig asks to again hear the lilt in Venus's voice when she says his name and Venus works to get there, you're convinced it's one of the finest scenes in the series. —Mandi Bierly
