gatortom64 1
Get Into WSOP Events For Cheap at RioHarrah's Spreading All Sorts for This Year's EventsThe World Series of Poker is almost here and satellites are underway. The Rio is providing numerous scheduled mega-satellites as well as introducing a newly improved system for the round-the-clock sit-and-go satellites in an effort to make it convenient for anyone to try to get in for cheap. The mega-satellites allow players to compete in a multi-table tournament that awards seats into either the main event or the $50,000 buy-in H.O.R.S.E. event.Players can choose from either a $550 or a $1,060 mega-satellite for the main event. The $550 satellites are scheduled for 9 p.m. every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday beginning June 4. There will also be one held at 4 p.m. on July 4. The $1,060 satellites will take place at 9 p.m. every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday beginning June 1 up until the main event. The mega-satellites for the H.O.R.S.E. event feature a buy-in of $2,250 and will be played at 5 p.m. on the following days: June 7, June 12, June 13, June 16, June 18, and June 23.Sit-and-go satellites are the other option. The Rio has made improvements in making them run more efficiently by implementing a system in which players use a kiosk system to swipe their Rewards Card (player’s card for any Harrah’s property) to sign up and register for a game. This should cut down on line waits and overall confusion. Winners of these tournaments will receive a tournament buy-in plus a small amount of cash. The events at the WSOP have seven different levels of buy-ins: $1,000, $1,500, $2,000, $2,500, $3,000, $5,000, and the $10,000 main event. Satellites are available for each of these buy-ins and can be played in no-limit, limit, or pot-limit hold’em and in Omaha high or eight-or-better, limit or pot-limit. theresa113 0
I played this:$125; winner receives a $1,000 buy-in plus $120 cashAnd was stuck at a table with 6 very drunk friends who were loud and obnoxious and went all in on almost every hand. Needless to say, I got my money in good but got sucked out. Just pay attention who is in line with you, especially at the lower levels. 1-2 drunks are cool, a whole table is just a mess. So learn from me...Your forum mom, T

Porcupine 0
I played this:$125; winner receives a $1,000 buy-in plus $120 cashTThe satellites are a lot of fun.One year, I was running good and made it to the final 2 in both of these I played. Made deals both time - the blinds are pretty big at that point and it would suck to get nothing (vs. $1100) on coinflip.Funny time was when I had a friendly chat with one of the splitters after the deal and we were both saying to each other "I was clearly the better player". theresa113 0
Oh guys, I am not complaining. My point was that it is Vegas and at the lower levels of the satellites there can be some crazy players. I know it could have gone my way as well. I love it when there are awful players at the table. But this one was just a mess. All I was saying is pay attention to who is in line with you. Now I will tell you this... I really enjoyed playing the tournaments at Caesars. Granted, it is not playing at the Rio during the WSOP but I had a much better experience playing at Caesars. FerretKing 0
Does anyone know if you can sell WSOP satellite chips? Let's say I split a $225 single table satellite heads up and get two $500 wsop tourney chips. Can I sell them to another player or sell them back to the casino at face value? I assume it's fairly easy to sell them to another player as it saves them a trip to the cage. Thanks for any input, this will be my first WSOP and I plan on taking a shot at an event or two. For example a $500 lammer would sell for like $450-480 in cash depending on who you sold it to.
