  1. I would probably go for the check-call on the river. If he has a busted draw he's either going to fold or bluff you out of the pot. By checking you allow him to bluff without it being too expensive to call. But I'm tight-weak so don't listen to me.
  2. Ad 10x might call here but I would probably just check behind as well.
  3. Well it turns out that he has the inconceivable nine-deuce of clubs for two pair and I didn't improve. Should i have bet the pot on the flop? I usually bet about 3/4 of the pot for a continuation bet in tournaments.
  4. Don't really know anything about my opponent as he had just been moved to my table a few hands ago. This is a tourney with the blinds going up every 10 minutes so you have to accumulate chips. My thinking on the flop is that with the flush draw out there, I have to lean toward calling. But even if he just has a flush draw, he probably has at least one overcard making it about even money or worse. Also with my raise coming from the CO he could be thinking I'm on a pure bluff. If I fold I still have a somewhat above average stack to work with. So what do you do?PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourn
  5. This is limit omaha h/l not pot limit. I agree that you have to raise on the flop. Many players will bet out with A2 low draws so you could be looking at getting at least 3/4ths from the initial better if a low card peels off. Also a raise may scare off a lot of high hands that will automatically put you on KKXX as many omaha 8b play so passively.
  6. I raised all in on the river, he insta-calls and flips over JJ. Looking back at his betting pattern, he has nothing or close to the nuts and I should have definitely just called the river bet.
  7. This is one of those hands where on the river you can make a case of using any of your three available options. I had only been at this table for about a round of hands. This player had not played a pot yet, so I did not have any kind of read on him.PokerStars Game #10877995404: Tournament #54722303, $5.00+$0.50 Hold'em No Limit - Level II (15/30) - 2007/07/11 - 00:41:17 (ET)Table '54722303 33' 9-max Seat #2 is the buttonSeat 1: msuakeholdem (1405 in chips) Seat 2: A2345Hrts (4640 in chips) Seat 3: YahooPool (2716 in chips) Seat 4: ONT1LT (2760 in chips) Seat 5: Miffy147 (5010 in chips) Seat 6
  8. Poker Stars doesn't just deal bad beats on the tables now, they also do it via email.
  9. Here is the full email I received from Pstars:Thank you for your email. We are not totally sure if the card won't work on our site, today we hadmost Gift 2 go cards decline on our site, we have no control over this, since the bank that process these cards could be adapting to online gamingrestrictions. We can recommend you to use the Gift 2 go card on ePassporte to completeyour deposit, or you can also get another gift card that works on our sitewhich is the All Access Gift card from Netspend, we can't tell for howlong this card will work, but in the mean time you an also use it on oursite. Here a
  10. I just purchased a yellow prepaid visa gift2go card. I tried to deposit on Poker Stars and was declined. I emailed support and will let you know what I hear.
  11. I couldn't remember what Poker Stars has done in the past? Do they usually offer a deposit bonus before the WCOOP? I am going to put some money in but I will wait for the bonus offer if there will be one. Thanks
  12. I was considering opening an epassporte account. I was checking out the website and it looks like their are very substantial fees on depositing. I think it would be about $30 to deposit $600 whether you do it with a credit card or your bank account. I am so use to Neteller, that this seems outrageous. I used a pay tru card the last time I deposited and was very unhappy with all the fees, some of which I didn't even understand. I am almost to the point that I am just going to go the money order route, even if it takes a week to deposit or withdraw. So is it worth it to get an epassoporte account
  13. I made my triumphant return to Vegas this past Monday. Let's just say that Vegaswas not impressed. When I originally booked the trip my plan was to go out bymyself and try to win a seat into the $2000 Limit HE or $2000 Omaha 8b WSOPevent going on this week, that of course all changed. By coincidence, a friendof mine was out there on business for Monday and Tuesday. This of course meantthat I would be doing a lot more drinking and gambling than usual. I stayed at the Imperial Palace. It was about what I expected, fairly gross butI could put up with it for the pure cheapness. Also, you can't bea
  14. Does anyone know if you can sell WSOP satellite chips? Let's say I split a $225 single table satellite heads up and get two $500 wsop tourney chips. Can I sell them to another player or sell them back to the casino at face value? I assume it's fairly easy to sell them to another player as it saves them a trip to the cage. Thanks for any input, this will be my first WSOP and I plan on taking a shot at an event or two.
  15. Thanks for the report.I plan on going down early Saturday morning to try to win my way into the $500 NL event that day. How often did the blinds go up in the event you played? 40 minutes? Is it worth it to try to play in the $500 event or should I just play cash games. Thanks,
