grocery_mony 8
Its a question that gets asked a million times here so I will give my opinion. The Venetian announced during this past saturdays deepstack tourney that when the deepstack extravaganza ends in a week that it will be there permanent format. It is an awesome tourney sun-thurs $330 gets you 6k starting and 40 min levels. fri and sat $540 gets you 10k with 40 minute levels. Th blind structure is also exelent even in the middle levels where they have 800/1600 and 1200/2400 levels instead of jumping to1k/2k and 1500/3000 like some do. The tourney is also proffessionally run and has a big event feel to it. If you are a fan of the old Venetian tourneys the 8pm will be the same as before but with 500 more chips to start. Sigh, as for how I did. This is thee biggest buy in I ever directly bought into(sattelited into the Bellagio $540 a couple of times). Very early on after chasing a big draw that missed and splashing around in a few pots I was down to 8k and tightened up. I managed to slowlly build up to about 15k when I got crippled at tthe 300/600 50a level. I raised to 2k from mp with AQo, got folded to the bb who then pushed for 12k total. Ussually this is a hand that I can easily get away from but the bb was a wild one pushing all in a few times when a few people limped his bb and getting caught once with jt but sucked out. So I eventually made the call and he flipped over jt again. board came blank blank blank blank......ten. SS poker didnt go well as I pushed all in from mp for about 3k with 45h and the bb(same guy as bfore)woke up with AA....gg me. They got 397 on saturday with first just under 60k and paying the top 40. Moneymaker, Eskimo Clark and Shawn Rice where some of the pros who I saw playing.

bampote 0
I was playing a 2/4 limit cash game (I'm a poor college student and it was my spring break) at the Venetian during the tourney on Saturday when Moneymaker got moved to the table next to mine. Our dealer started talking a lot of crap about him, but another dealer later said that MM was a pretty good guy. I might have approached him, but I didn't have a camera or anything, so I didn't see the point. I really liked the poker room there too.
Wart 0
Thanks for the scouting report.I'll try 'em out next time I am in town. (next week) Can you guess about how long these tourneys last?
MikeJohnson724 0
Satellites are a joke, I don't recommend them. Played one last week, blinds go up to fast and only 1500 in chips. They're 80 buy in and top 2 get seats.

MikeJohnson724 0
so it's like very other single table satellite in existence you're sayingYah It's like, pony up the 330 and don't waste your time at the 80 dollar satellite.
