Oh, and I didn't notice his stack, multi-tasking ftl Considering mp2's stack size and the fact that you didn't fold on a k high board the flat pre is pretty terrible. Next time just make it 5 to go over his raise. Half stackers who raise to 15bbs pre flop are not the best players and qq is ahead way more than enough to go head and ship. looshle 6
Ok, I think I'm going to try to get into this thread. As Mark and Nutz know, I've been playing a lot of live cash lately. Unforutnately (for most) max bet in AZ is $150 so NL isn't allowed. They do run a pretty juicy 10-150 spread limit game (5-10 blinds) which I have been trying to play about 3 times a week. Obviously, the game is a unique beast but I think I'm getting the hang of, and liking the structure of ALOT, due to my limit background and spewy nature with deeper NL stacks.I've been keeping pretty good track of my results in this game and am wondering a couple things. 1) How many hours approximately would it take to get a good idea of your accurate hourly EV?2) What would be a good hourly for this type of structure?I'll start posting some hands as well as give my advice on some, though my NL cash game experience is pretty limited. FARGOpokerND 22
come to the new challenge thread imoBad Answer.I think you would need at least a few thousand hands. I think after 100 hrs you can start to get an idea. That should be, what, 2.5-3k hands?Depending on how patient you are, I'd say 400 hrs sounds good for an accurate hourly. I have no clue what would be expected, as there is no "big bet" persay to track.

I have no clue what would be expected, as there is no "big bet" persay to track. No clue either, but this sounds reasonable. That game is spewtard cental and can be such a money maker, usually a fun table if nothing else. I typically avoid that game but it is fun to sit in it every now and then, especially if I see some really bad/predictable players sitting. Late night weekends the wolves come out for sure, not for the faint of heart/roll.Went virtually nowhere Fri. night ('no pot Scott') Sat. I cashed out $1700. Sat. night played the 5 game and got stuck a little. Sunday I went back and got coolered, lost $600 back, bleh. Cooler hand Sunday. I bought in short ($600...I was going to just play the 5-150 but the list was long due to a ladies tourney and the 10 game had a seat open).Managed to nit my stack up to about $1200 or so when I get As Qc in the cutoff, I raise to $45. A total aggro donk (Eric) utg pops it to $100. He has about $700 or so.I just call and the flop is Qh-5s-Qs , 2 spades. He fires $150, I make it $300...he calls. 10s hits the turn, he checks, I fire, he re pops, yadda yadda, all in. River brick, I miss the nut flush but still think I am good.He semi slow rolls Q-5 for the boat. L M A O. popped it to $100 pre with Q-5 off. This is so typical of Eric. Losing that pot really tilted me. Later I lost the rest with 2 pair to a guy who turns trips. Meh...
