I made it down to the final two, and accumulated a $195-$5 chip lead. Long story short, I came in second. I put him in all-in four times with the best of it (preflop, I was getting Ax, two paints, even a pair of jacks once), and lost every time to six-outers or worse. On the final hand, I had an A10 to his AK, went all in on the turn with a A Q 10 7 on the board (trying to take down a decent pot and regain the chiplead), only to get called and spiked by a J on the river. All had PP, it was pocket Tens, Jacks, Queens, Kings & Aces, in that order, & each player sat next to each other. It was witnessed by almost the entire card room, because once it was "on their backs", almost everyone came rushing across to our table to see what the fuss was about. And if someone had told me the story, I dont think I would have believed them.So once the fuss had died down, I needed to deal the board. And whilst the guy with AA was clearly favourite, (he was 44% to win, but clear favourite) he was not THAT confident, as any "paint" (bar an A) would beat him, & what was the chance of 5 cards without paint?First card down, came a HUGE roar - it was an A!So Matey Boy with the A, who had been 44% pe-flop, was now 97.7%, against 4 opponents, and it's hard to imagine many situations where anyone could be 97.7% favourite in a 5 way pot.But he never won it!The board came A 5 3 2 4. I found it pretty funny. Actually, it's runs similar to what the OP went through that renew my faith in Online poker every time. For example, I have KK all in vs. QT (don't ask, the guy was unbalanced) and he just flops the straight and even though I have outs, nothing comes. Six beats in a row (only one a bad beat, the rest moderate beats) cost me $120.The comment "live poker is rigged!" is a joke. It's called satirical humour. Look it up, people. I flopped the nut straight three times this past weekend, and lost every time (once to a flush, and twice to... runner-runner full houses). Twice I had pocket kings, and both times another player had pocket rockets. Clearly the casino I play at is rigged.Of course, when I won a couple of big pots with K2 (it was my big blind, OK? I'm guessing that you are a wanker from this side of the Atlantic, rather than a wanker from that side of the Atlantic, because you didn't understand our earlier references about young Gareth Keenan.
