Ummm... so yea, preview for next week revealed something totally unexpected.

If Simone faked her death, is she actually a pawn of Linderman's?

Amazing episode. Even the previews for this show drop my jaw.

hmmm, wow! I have no words to describe the feeling I had after I seen the episode, and better yet after watching the previews. Show seems to be taking off fairly well..... and plenty I mean plenty of answers have been answered [sorta] but plenty more questions have been brought upon. Some of the same old questions have also re-appeared. -Unleashing these abilities are of what value for the "corporation"-Tranquillizing Ted [Nuke Dude] instead of "busting a cap in his ***" is more logical why?-Do they erase all the memories now? [MIB style]-Someone tell me why they haven't been affected by the radiation.-What did invisible man do to get killed?I missed who the dude who shot Ted was... who exactly is that guy?And two more episodes then a break again?Btw care to explain what they do in the Heroes 2screen thingy magigy? what happened on it this week?

I suppose they are implying in this novel that Mr. Bennet works for Linderman (which I have been assuming all along....all roads lead to this puppeteer). Beginning to look more and more like some shadowy cabal headed by Linderman started this mess with some genetic experiments. If you look around both Petrelli's had a very important, very shady father who worked closely with Linderman. Now they both have powers. Niki's dad is important apparently, she has powers. Hiro's dad is an influential businessman...his son has powers (I know its stretching it) Perhaps they experimented on their own kids???Just rambling out some thoughts.....
Hiro's dad connected to Bennett and this Heroes-controlling syndicate. in case any of you were wondering....yes, yes it is tiring being right all the time.

The company seems more into investigating and controlling, I don't think they want this stuff to be public knowledge. The didn't want Ted dead for the same reason, they are still trying to figure out his power probably due to how dangerous he is.Only the Haitian can erase memories, and he is on the run with Claire, so not sure what how they would do that. It does leave the question of what is going to be explained the the Bennett's neighbors saw.Radiation, dunno.. I was more wondering how they took Parkman down when he was out in public and probably on guard agaisnt any type of attack, little leap of faith there apparently.Claude (invisible man) isn't dead, thats the guy who has been mentoring Peter and is now on the run.The guy who shot Ted (eric Roberts btw) is one of Bennet's bosses, the guy who hired him.One more epsode, then a 5 week break. The Heroes 2 screen deal is part of the Alternate Reality Game, I made another post explaining some of the details about it in this forum. This week during the show they played along side by side with a webcast where you were in contact with Hana Gieltman (AKA Wireless) who was introduced in the comics and got Ted and Matt together last week. Along with some neat facts it tossed up about this weeks show, it was takign live polls about the show and then you were getting messages from hana about how she was trying to contact Ted and Matt, felt the power surge when Ted went nuclear etc...

They explained so much stuff last night, and was the best episode ive seen so far just because they didnt go off into another story. It was crazy to see Hiro with his dad back in the day, but where was his sister and was Hiro adopted? Are the "heroes" growing into there powers as they get older or just people like Claire who havent been shot up with that needle gun. Maybe it speeds up the process or something. One more thing, how about the previews for next week when they showed Simone with her bloody shirt asking if they want to shoot her again!

Nice, thanks alot but.... I didn't understand somethings you said [bolded]. Also I was actually asking why Bennet was supposed to kill the Invisible dude. We all know he isn't dead but I wanted to know why he was shot, and what their conversation in the car was all about.

He was supposed to kill Claude because he apparently went behind the companies back to hide a person with abilities from the company. They never really gave details on who he was hiding.I just thought it was weird we went from Parkman sitting outside Bennet's house to being sedated and under control of the company. I thought he would be on high alert from someone trying to capture him.

But they don't unlease the abilities, I think they just focus them and help them keep 'em under control-Tranquillizing Ted [Nuke Dude] instead of "busting a cap in his ***" is more logical why?well you saw what happened to him when he got shot. He lost complete control of his abilities and started frying everything-Do they erase all the memories now? [MIB style]they can't because The Hatian is now on the run and he was the only one who could-Someone tell me why they haven't been affected by the radiation.this one bothered me the most. Everyone in that room should be dying of radiation poisoning by now and they're not. IT really bugs the fuck outta me...or at least explain why they're not.-What did invisible man do to get killed?hid someone with special abilitiess...I'm thinking it'll turn out to be either Nathan or Peter

Yeah that was a really odd thing. Totally surprised me when Parkman was being sedated. I really thought he was gonna be the next haitian side kick. Actually I guess that still could be a possibility though whos side kick could he be.

I've got some initial guesses, purely speculative and maybe not all that sound in some instances but here goes:The "corp" isn't unleashing, they're monitoring and investigating. In some instances they draft some into service where specific abilities fill a niche (jessica as a hitter).Goes back to the mission of the corp doing research. Like HRG's boss said "we'll find out what gives him his spark."I'm assuming you're talking about the witnesses outside Claire's house, I was curious about that too, but, with the wealth and power that this group has they'll probably circulate an easy to digest cover story. The radiation vibe really was bugging me. It's been forever since I've done any reading or research into the scientific arena but I seem to recall that not all types of radiation are necessarily harmful (radio waves). So I'm thinking he was putting out heat and various types of radiation since he wasn't necessarily in control. Weak explanation but it's good enough for me to keep up suspension of disbelief. That about all I have for now.

Wild theory time...Claude is actually Claire's dad. If you read the comic this week you would see that he went in to see Claire's mom first, but wasn't hurt in the explosion, maybe allowing her to sneak off and then watching her via HRG. Maybe they wanted to kill him for hiding Claire's mom, that would explain why she was on the run in Mexico.

I think Parkman just trusts them now...I'm assuming he will start working for them also.So are they going to hide HRG now? Was the Hatian told to kill him, but he just erased his memory instead? If he was going to just erase his memory, why did he have to shoot him? That was the only part of the episode I was really confused about.

yeah that whole shooting him really confused me also. The other thing that kinda got me confused was when parkman was reading HRG's mind and he was thinking in Japanese? What the hell was up with that?

I like this theory....well done. Because here's the thing about a line that Claire's mom that's bothered me since she said it. After Claire showed her mother her ability, she said, "Some Family,"which I took to mean both the mother and father knew they had powers..but the thing is, Nathan only recently began to manifest powers...I dunno....maybe I'm way off.

No HRG is still in the organization. The Hatian had "escaped" but remained in contact with HRG so he could take Claire instead of HRG having to turn her in to the company/Linderman

HRG knew Parkman could read minds, and he also knew that Parkman probably didn't speak Japanese, so to hide whatever secrets he had, he thought in Japanese so Parkman wouldn't understand himOne other thing that sorta bothered me, is that we've been lead to believe that the Hatian dampered the Heroes's powers. If that's true, why didn't they just get the Hatian close to Sprague to damper his powers and then be able to easily catch him?

I think HRG agreed to be shot so it looked more realistic that the haitian took Claire...some plausible deniability if you will...to make it look like he put up quite the struggle.

i'm very curious about that as well. the hatian obviously didn't have that power last episode, so i'm curious as to how he, or someone/something, kept sylar from killing eden before he was caught. or a few other instances, like parkman not being able to read HRG's mind on a couple of occasions. definitely needs explaining.what an episode though. i was a passive heroes fan before monday. but even with some confusing questions, that episode made me a nut for the show.

The Haitan only affected powers dealing with the mind. Like Eden trying to control people and Matt trying to read minds, the best he could do with Ted would be to wipe the memory of his wife and powers, not that he wouldn't discover them again and have the same questions.Haitian shot Bennet to keep him alive. If he let Claire run off willingly then his company would kill him, the Haitian left the company (probably at Bennet's request) to protect Claire because he didn't want to turn him over.Bad side effect, Bennet is now going to be a complete bad guy. All he is going to know is he got shot, and he will be pissed about it.Sidenote: if you read the 360 Experience thread, the latest link I posted in there to Linderman's Casino ends up tying into Bennet, the first real association of the two that has been made so far.

More links...Behind the Eclipse - Comic Book Resources weekly article on Heroes. This does contain some minor spoilers, some of which I'll point out below. For those wondering why Claude who has the injection marks wasn't able to be tracked by Bennet & Co -

Claude’s scar is different. Some of those questions will be answered tonight. Some will be answered this season.

Simone's Dad -

It's been hinted he plays a bigger part in things than origionally thought. Why cast a well known actor for a few death scenes, why was Claude hanging out on his balcony and why was Peter dreaming about him...

Was Simone the big death that was hinted at? -

Simone is a big death. She was with the show from the beginning. And Peter may have never attempted to be something more without her love and support. She will be missed – but… she is not the only person who is going to be pushing up the daisies before the season is over.

Beaming Beeman - Update to the Producers blog, just an interview this week, no real spoilers.
