I am going to Vegas at the end of October/beginning of November. I wont be there long, its actually for business...but my question is, what poker rooms should i go to and which ones should i avoid...i dont have a large BR so i will probably play 4-8 limit or 1-2 nl.... oh yeah, and im staying at the mirage

Are you driving? check out Red Rock. VERY nice locals casino off Charleston and the 215. Poker room is big, always full, with full table action, if thats what your looking for. Sports book is first class, none better. For slots, best penny slot selection and new games in vegas (pennies= 2 bucks per spin).

Exaliber for late night dead money 1-2nl games.
Ha! When I was there they had 1-2nl with a max $50 buyin, which you could add on another 50 once you'd lost a dollar... Oh man it was funny... raise to 10 and you're pot commited

The Mirage is one of the best poker rooms in Vegas.
Repeating myself here but QFT - Staying at the Mirage, Play at the Mirage. It's a very good poker room.

for sureI always find time to play at the Mirage...of course i always stay there as well, love that place! The 1/2 is pretty good, and a lot of older guys just there for fun. The new place i tried last month was the Venetian. Just an incredible poker room/staff/game selection. The players there are pretty decent though, so watch out. Another place my friend and I just walked accross was O'Sheas casino, right accross the street from Caesar's. They only have 2 tables, and they are like half outside, and it was a hot day with a cool breeze so that was definitely a plus, considering most poker rooms are freezing! They had a betting structure i never played except in Stud. It was 1-5 spread limit Holdem. I thought it was going to be dumb...but for some reason, i LOVED it, and i hate limit poker. The bar is literally 8 ft from the tables so those guys were really gettig drunk too. I did pretty well there, and probably had the most fun at that table than any other the entire trip.Anyways, i hope you have fun wherever you play.
