techrangerbrad 0
Does anyone else besides me can't win worth beans online, but does pretty good when playing live? I have played in CA, MT, CT, OR, WA and have always been on the plus side with the exception of once in CA when I think I got scammed by the locals. Thank goodness it was only 200 bucks. I just struggle playing online. Any thoughts?
bdc30 0
Any thoughts?Yes. Don't try and play the same limits online as you do live.If you play $10/20 live, try $2/4 online. If you play $2/4 live, try 0.10/0.20 online.Seriously.

The aggression is ridiculous and the betting patterns is all you have to go on online. Live is sooooo much better and more enjoyable. I love online too, but everything seems more real at a B&M. Limit Player 0
it's easier to fight tilt in a B&M, too. you can't just move your finger and call off $100 in a casino. heh.I like the live experience and being able to play higher stakes against worse players. But, online is where the money is made when you can effectively multi-table. techrangerbrad 0
So when you play such low limits is it more to gain experience or profit. Doesn't seem like much profit unless you are playing a bunch of tables at once.

KTW 0
I would much rather spend 8 hours playing Live than all that time online. I am stuck in FL so I don't have a choice.
martinmc 0
I can't win online, but I win consitantly in live games both cash and tournaments. For some reason I just can treat online money as real money, it's all just like a video game to me. I have given up on online poker altogether now and i'm much happier and playing better because of it. There are just some many more tricks you can use in live play to setup a good table image, put people on tilt and keep yourself off tilt. I also find I have more time for self refection after playing live. For me at least every time I lose I blame it on bad luck and it usually take about an hour to reilize the mistakes I made and figure out how to prevent myself from making them in the future. However, since I travel extensively for business, I do get the chance to play elsewhere.

Not the coolist way to travel but my car sucks.

Scanner313 0
I hate on-line poker. I've given it up completely since I found a local card room. I'm up $1591 in cash games for 2006 playing 1/2 NL live. I was down about $190 playing on-line before I quit it.I love the live game and am making money at it, so here's where I'll stay. primetime 0
here are my thoughts on live vs online..and why people play better live..1. the main reason is there are less distractions live.....no web surfing, no watching tv, no kids running around, no wife asking how much longer you are gonna play, no multi-tabling......just less distractions2. after a hour you might still be playing with the same 9 people you started with and have a decent idea how they play..online, you might have 9 new players every 20 minutes...3. there are tells in both games but it think the tells live are much better reads...how they bet(not click), what they do after they bet, alot of the times if i have a marginal hand(suited connectors, middle pairs,AX suited and such) i look to the players to my left and alot of the times i see them reaching for chips before i even act...so i fold...good enough for a call not for a raise which i know they will do...4. less collusion live...i know people play online with instant messengers, cell phones, tag teams, 2 computers.....wont find many live5 love the free drinksjust a few reasons...my opinions....
