I'm about to drink wine and eat french fries. Gourmet.edit: Yep...I liked my own post.

Happy Fourth of July to those that celebrate. I have a couple of Angus steaks marinating in K.C.Masterpiece Steakhouse blend as I type. That will go with a shrimp cocktail, twice baked potato and corn

Does anyone know how long late-registration for tournaments at Binions is open for?
Definitely through the 1st level and I think you have until the end of level 2.

So in addition to running bad constantly, you also seem to have to battle against a lot of cheaters as well.
I wonder if one has a lot to do with the other. Also, you run into bad cheaters.

Went out to a mall on the other side of town for lunch, ran into a girl I used to work with and invite her to eat with me. Within two minutes of sitting there a girl at the table next to us stood up and dumped a large drink of some sort on the head of a guy she was with.I almost spit out a mouthful of orange chicken laughing at him.
You went to Panda Express?

It's Vegas right?
Just promise.
I was at her house two months ago having dinner with her crazy unabomber friend. And the millers, of course.
So? Mine happened today.

Speaking of Vegas, not sure how lame this is, but I thought it was an amusing idea.Excalibur running 'Strip Poker' tournies on Sat nights - 9pm and 11pm - $40 buy-inAlso, for those of us who enjoy/run well in slot tournies, the Ex runs them now from 2-5pm Thurs-Sun. $20 entry, 1st place wins $1000. http://www.excalibur.com/casino/midday_slot_tournaments.aspx

From Pokernews covering the $1500 six-handed NL event today:"Bodog Ari" Engel is sat at the same table as rapper Nelly. It was Nelly who was involved in a pot though . The flop read :3h:ts:5c and the already short stacked Nelly led out for 300 only to be set in by his opponent. Nelly called with :4h:qh but was behind to :D:jh .The turn :club: ended it and Nelly said "Stupid game" and walked off.Hahaha.

How do slot tournaments work exactly?
Honestly, it's all luck. You all sit at special 'tournament' machines (they'll pay out WAY more often than normal machines). It's just a timed contest. Usually 10 or 15 minutes.Everyone's credits start at zero and you just mash the 'Spin' button repeatedly and rack up as many credits as you can within the time limit. High score wins.

This sounds so rediculously fun it's sick. Maybe this will be the exciting thing that happens to me in Vegas.

lol, nice. They never get the hands right either, a J on the river would have saved him.

Some people enjoy them. Others find them boring and stupid.A few of us played one at Binion's 2 years ago? I won $50 at the end when they randomly drew names raffle-style from all the losers for a consolation prize and Sharon or Chris (I think it was Chris) won like $500.
