I'm about to drink wine and eat french fries. Gourmet.edit: Yep...I liked my own post.

I'm back in the land of cold weather, wind, and snow. I left CA on a day it reached 90 degrees and arrived in Anchorage to 12 degree weather, caught a plane to Unalaska where it was 34 with 2 inches o

Michigan plays a harder schedule than Iowa every year, it's usually in the top 10 if not top 5 nationally by end of each season. Iowa's is usually something around 25-40th depending on who they get in the rotation of the Big-10. Not to mention that your sample size is tainted by last season which was a complete overhaul of Michigan's program. Michigan is probably one or two years at the most away from being the team to beat in the conference again. Over 80% of the starting lineup are freshman/sophomores and that sophomore class wasn't a full round of recruiting for Rodriguez. From what it sounds like Tate's shoulder was bothering him going into the game. I only got to see the last two minutes of it after the casino switched over from FL/LSU and was wondering why Robinson was in on the final drive. You're not going to want to face him when he is healthy.Collecting from Iowa fans is going to be the highlight of my week. Though I think Iowa fans would probably gladly pay me that much every week if they won the game. I'll continue contrarian betting the Hawks with the locals to make money. I have a feeling if they go undefeated into the OSU game they would give me points there too. I can only hope.
1. Iowa's schedule is more difficult then Michigan's this year. No question. And while it might have been the case previously, Michigan really hasn't played tough OOC schedules recently(not that Iowa has either). They have roughly the same schedule strength recently. Iowa also returns 18 starters(and the projected starting RB and LCB for this year) and both kickers next year, so you're not the only team with youth. I agree that Michigan is one or two years away from being a National Title contender.2. Forcier went out with a concussion before the final drive after Adrian Clayborn introduced himself. See Rittenberg on ESPN.com 3. I don't doubt it. There's only been a couple Iowa games this year that I would've touched at all(on Iowa's side). I have no doubt that you could make money betting Iowa fans throughout the rest of the season.

Tim/Dustin...I need a recount of the distance on this throwing a snowball story I heard over the weekend. Oz was telling me 50 yards, which doesn't sound very believable.
I was going to say 15 yards tops. Figuring 20' for the parking spot, 20' wide road, a few feet for me on the sidewalk, and the post off the curb.
Never trust a stoner to retell a story.

I read that article, at least he didn't get carted off with a baggy to hold his vomit and it sounds like he will be starting this week. SOS is hard to determine till end of the season when you see how teams finish so I wouldn't buy into what anyone's strength is just yet.I just read that in the mock standing for the BCS Iowa will come out at 10th, so it means the computers like them which I wouldn't have expected.

Do the BCS rankings come out this week?

Iowa's opponents have all done pretty well, which obviously helps in the computers. Even Iowa State hasn't shit the bed. They could've won their last two versus Kansas and Kansas State, but..they're Iowa State. I am pretty nervous about Saturday's game in Madison, honestly. They always play us tough.

Give Rhodes a few more years in (L)Ames and the clones could be on to something. Seems he has players believing in him, and you have to realize he is playing with Chizik's guys still.I've been saying all year long that lots of Iowa fans are overlooking the boys in Red up in Madison. They play the hawks tough every year, and especially when you have to travel to their house to play. I still like Iowa in the game, but I think Wisconsin give them a real scare.

I don't know what to make of them this year. 5-1, not really any impressive wins, and one spanking from OSU. Record says they should be ranked but they aren't, so who knows.

I mean..realistically, Iowa's season hinges on the game pretty well. If they lose in Wisconsin, Michigan State all of a sudden seems a lot tougher and Ohio State seems pretty well out of the question. And there's a very big difference between 11-1 and 10-2, IMO. I think Iowa should win, but I don't know if they will.

I've watched a couple of their games and their QB looks pretty good.. but, he didn't do much against the one legit defense they've played all year, so it's hard to tell. We'll know on Saturday around 2:30, I suppose.

WTF, VT at #3? How is that even possible?

I think the score of the OSU game is a little misleading, 2 defensive TD's and a 96 yard kick return for OSU. I don't think OSU's offense scares many teams.
