If I had to pick a guy when speaking of both cash games AND tourneys, well my vote goes to Jdags. I dont know of any younger than 25 that has been more consistent in both cash and tourneys as far as i can tell.
I don't like his look....just something about that fellow.

Cassidy. But to my knowledge he only plays hold em. His understanding and feel for the game is truly scary though.

Out of the choices provided, I think Keller is the best. I'm surprised no one has mentioned Michael Gracz. He has really impressed me with his solid tournament play
Now this I totally agree on. Gracz has really come into his own the last year and half or so.

I didn't finishing reading all the replies to this post, but since we are having some issues with clarifying who is a young gun and who is just young and good, I'll just list 3 players to keep an eye on over the next year, as I think there gonna make some headlines.1)Erik Sagstrom2)Noah Boken3)Michael Gracz

For me the best new player to show up this year is Tim Phan. I have seen this guy play at the Commerce Casino and Bicycle Casino in L.A. playing the largest Hold'em games available which is usually 100-200 or 200-400 on weekdays and sometimes higher on weekends. He is also proven in the "Big Game" at the Bellagio. On one of my many trips to Vegas this year, I watch through the glass of "Bobby's Room," as Tim Phan sat in the same table as Phil Ivey, Jennifer Harmen, Chau Giang, Doyle Brunson, and Eli Elierza in 2000-4000 mixed game. What new player you know that is 30 or younger has had the guts and money to sit down against those players in the Big Game? His tournament accomplishments are known as he has made the final table of the Bicycle Casino's Legends of Poker and finished 24th in the WSOP Main Event in the one of the toughest beats I have seen and took that bad beat with class. Shame on Cardplayer if they do not have a feature story about Tim Phan's rise in the poker world. If he is not in your top five or ten poker players than change it and put this guy on your list.
Please, you are a moron, he did not take a bad beat in the main event. Everyone stop thinking this, it only makes you dumb. If he had whined about it, I would consider him an idiot.
Idiot my ass. Even though all the money went in before the flop, it was still a tough beat when your opponent hit runner runner

What was the hand ? Raymer makes a good point in saying "The order the cards come out is of no relevance when two players are all-in preflop"

gracz is a solid player but he was on the kind of streak that mike the mouth is on right now. hes not as great as those great finishes in the big event would indicate. On the other hand, Prahlad is playing the biggest cash games online everyday all day and winning MILLIONS. No question, Prahald is better but for tournaments yea maybe Gracz.

thats what i was getting at, both tourneys and cash games. fischman is a good tourney player, grinder good at nl tourneys, cassidy great at cash games, keller solid at both, but when you consider both Dags is definately the best overall. john phan, tuan, williams, gracz, all cash game suckers.and tim phan is def. too old and the hand he went broke in wsop wasnt a bad beat at all. All the money went in preflop 1010 vs aq. doesnt matter that the board developed in a tough way, it wasnt a bad beat. And yes i shouldnt have included williams, cause he really isnt good at any form of poker. My new top list is Dags, Erik Sagstrom, Cassidy, Keller

Pham 57% to win vs. Other player 43% to win-bad beat.
