mrdannyg 274
Alright, so I'm playing some PL O/8 on a pretty fishy site. Sorry for lack of conversion, but its not supported by the convertor I usually use. And there is no hand histories. haha.$20 PL O/8, blinds .5/.10. I bought in for the max, and up to $22 and have $14 more than anyone else at the table. So I'm playing XX10J out of my unraised big blind. 4 to the flop, including UTG, SB and another. flop comes K-K-10 and checked around.turn is another 10, I bet the pot, UTG calls. UTG had been calling tightly, including check/calling a flopped queen-high flush the last hand. I suspected the other 10, assuming he'd have bet a king.river comes the case 10, I bet the pot, about $1.20. He immediately moves all in for another $2.50 or so.He was playing tightly as I said, and really can't put him on any hand other than quad kings. Easy fold here right?Cheers,Danielp.s. the site has no bad beat jackpot, so not an issue, even though omaha is usually quad jacks or better beaten.EDIT: there is money riding on whether this was a foldable hand or not, so please let me know! Note that I did not say whether or not I folded. Thanks for the responses though. Like the avatar stylin'
No_Neck 0
the day I fold quads, even in omaha, will be the day I give up poker
Stylin_Fish 0
I'd call just to see if my quad 10s were actually beaten by quad kings.Don't see it often.
mrdannyg 274
what a night!after the hand above (results forthcoming) I hit my first royal flush ever!I've been playing for over 2 years and never had one before. Sure it was Omaha, but somehow I got called, so I'm quite happy. Too bad the royal flush jackpot didn't apply to omaha - that would've nicely supplemented my $3.21 pot!Woo.Daniel

loogie 115
I don't even play Omaha, and I know that's a bad fold.
Chamonyx 0
Horrible fold especially for $1.30 more. He could have KK, sure, but he could also have Kx or any pair, putting you on a naked King with a missed CR on the flop.
CobaltBlue 662
The other day playing Omaha, I had JJxx from the blinds. Flop came Ks Qs Js. I didn't have any spades. I had a friend looking over my shoulder, and I explained how weak bottom set was here (there are essentially no board pairing cards that make me feel comfortable there...so I'm drawing to one out) and check/folded to some action. Well, the river eventually popped out the case J. QQxx took the pot with the second best full...so I was correct in folding...but man...it could've been a nice little pot. Guest XXEddie
the day I fold quads, even in omaha, will be the day I give up pokerwhat if the board is AAAA3 and you have 22 and there are 4 allins in front of you?
CobaltBlue 662
In Omaha, you wouldn't have quads.

Ebonwoulfe 0
the thing is, what could he POSSIBLY have that is worth an all-in on a KKTTT board in omaha? AA, hoping that you don't have the T for quads (since any king except KK would just be trip kings)? Just about the only hand that seems reasonable here is KKxx, I think... unless he's a complete donk, which is possible at these levels. You know what? Since he's probably a complete donk at these levels, you call .

Since he's probably a complete donk at these levels, you call .pretty much my thinking.I called my roommates in and told them I was going to fold. They ponied up $2 each (CDN) to see me call. I told them I'd repay them double if they were right and I won. So I called. They were wrong. KKxx. Bam.Still, quads beaten by quads was something special. Especially right before my first royal flush. Been playing for 2+ years and never had even one of those! Gotta love omaha.Cheers,Daniel
