RayPowers 0
Same group as before, and because the table is so loose, I am finding myself staying in with Ax suited for nut flush draws. I seem to always have odds to draw to it.. No one in this hand is short stacked. Spyderblack seems very much a river rat.***** Hand History for Game 13416356 *****0.10/0.20 Texas Hold'em (Split Limit) Table Rotation (10 max) (Real Money) -- Seat 5 is the buttonblondine : Small Blind ($0.05)Hawkeye1997 : Big Blind ($0.10)** Dealing down cards **Dealt to Ray_Powers [ 7:diamond: A:diamond: ]2 Folds, Beetlejuice Call, spyderblack Call, 1 Fold, Ray_Powers Call, blondine Call, Hawkeye1997 Check.--- Don't think I should raise here. TJ_Eckleburg 0
Lead out or check/raise the flop.Check/calling is worse than folding.

TJ_Eckleburg 0
Ack.I was translating action to the board below it, not above it.Really messes with my head to not have stuff converted. After *carefully* reading and rereading your post...I'm pretty sure I play it the same way. No one raised preflop, so my top pair may indeed be best, and I want to try to push out the draws. Isn't there pretty good odds I have the best hand on the turn? Thoughts?Ray

Let MP1 over call and pay you off big when you hit your flush.Edit. You don't have a flush draw....definately just call.
CobaltBlue 662
Ray, I'm not sure that you necessarily want to take the free card on the turn (if it had been given to you).
Actuary 3
why do we think we are ahead here?Someone pulled a StopnGo on a "safe" turnNot closing action on turn.. I probably fold, getting about 4:1 to call down.We could raise and maybe Beetle folds, and maybe we get free showdown...I don't like calling turn
RayPowers 0
why do we think we are ahead here?I like this question, but I want to explain my thinking, and see where I am thinking wrong.Well, there was no raise preflop, which at this table means no one had AT,AJ,AQ,AK. I out kick every other weak ace except A8 and A9, (barring two pair) and the only hand that truly smashes my face is 24, which I am thinking should not have called my flop raise...Ray
