West side and OC? Newport Beach? That's not LA. I live in Silverlake and know of two games, one of which is at my friends house in the Los Feliz hills. We play there on Wednesday nights, it's quite possible we can start a third table of no limit, if anyone is interested.

i have a pad that we can play at. probably can get two tables going. I live in Rosemead off the 10fwy at Rosemead Blvd. Too bad summer is practically over. I have a pool out back and hot tub. But, jus got the dart board in and i'm getting into that right now. Let me know if you want to set something up over here. 8) 8)

I'm relatively new to LA, so I dunno my way around here very well.. where is Rosemead? I think everyone here would agree, the closer to LA the better.

well, my personal preference is limit holdem cash game...mostly because it is a game were people wont bust in 2 minutes and then have to leave... I wouldnt mind a mix game HORSE for instance (although I would have to learn the ORSE part in a week :-)), but really, NL is gonna look like this:9 people arrive w/ 300 bux (or more) blinds are 1/2... 1st hand AA VS kk VS set of 3s ...two people bust and dont want to buy back in... 7 handed now, and so on..Tourneys would be the same thing, people would bust and be left out of the action...which wouldnt be fun.honestly though, I dont mind I just want to have fun...so whatever the majority wants, I guess.

ok, if you want to have something down my pad, i need at least a week in advance(first time only) to get ready for everything. After the first gig, i'll be able to have them more frequently or whenever we decide. I'm thinking i'll need some more chairs and at least one more table. My roommate has clay poker chips but i don't think it's enough for more than 9 players, if that. I'll ask that everyone bring a new, wrapped deck of Bicycle playing cards. And some beer(of your choice) even if you don't drink at least bring a six pack for the house.that's all for now,...........let's hear what you have to say........

sorry i didn't reply andy,.......my roommate is just moving in, and it's been a little hectic.I want to say that i think this could be good for all of us. We could learn from each other. I've been playing poker for 9 years now. I know alot about the local casinos and the whole B&M scene. I'm not an old guy, but i'm probably older than most of you. But i could definately teach you guys a couple things.I even had this wild idea. ok, we don't know each other. So we've never met and we don't know who anyone is. Since holloween is comin up. Why don't we have a (one time only) MASCARADE POKER PARTY. We wear masks to are first poker game, but we reveal are FCP names. And nothing else. Kind of like the movies; CLUE and that Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman flick.

That is one of the goofiest, yet most original ideas I've ever read. I think I'm down with it.

i know of a few tournament style home games and have my own. the buy ins are low and we raise the stakes by allowing rebuys for the first hour. some players are very good, others suck.i don't want to have to drive far and i think if i want a cash game i'd just go to a casino.
