State wide or nation wide? Because I have a friend in minnesota that swears they card her and let her in to play and she's only 20. I always thought it was a nation wide law and it was of course 21. Just curious.

Gambling age is state regulated. Most states put the age at 21 since the caisno's openly offer alchoholic beverages.Oklahoma, CA, Minnesota, FL and Turning Stone in NY are about the only places you will find a LEGAL 18+ cardroom. I think there may be ONE in north western Iowa but im not sure.

I went here one time to find out if someone could gamble in Foxwoods. Check out this site. http://www.gamblingandthelaw.com/agechart.htmlI don't know how accurate it is. Times may have changed the rules, but it's better than nothing. I have it on my favorites list and I haven't knocked it off yet so you guys are lucky.

The Cherokee casinos in Oklahoma, which contain Oklahoma's poker rooms, have recently gone up to 21. Maybe this is because they started serving alcohol. They used to be 18 and didn't serve alcohol (and there used to be no poker, either...).

That was by choice of the casino. Theres a palce about 15 miles away called "Creek Nation" that has poker, and they're 18+.

I wasn't aware that the Creek Nation casinos had started poker. Do you have any idea about the Choctaw Casinos? I know they've started blackjack, but last I checked, they still didn't have poker yet. I'm anxious for them to start because there's one about 4 miles from my house.

Up here in Canuckistan the gambling age is 18 but the drinking age is 19 (most provinces anyway). I haven't found a casino outside of Quebec (where pretty much anything under the sun is legal to people 18+) that let's you in before your 19th b-day. So you're pretty much stuck playing the lottery or instant win tickets for a year.
