5-10 limit live game at a casino.1 limper (UTG) ahead of me and three folds. I get JQ diamonds and raise it up. Blinds and original limper call so I have position.Flop - 9c, 10d, kd. Nut straight. Checks to me and I bet. Blinds and limper call.Turn - Ad. I have a faily decent hand that I am somehwat confident will win the pot..... Checks to me and I bet. Blinds call and UTG raises. I ponder a while while trying to figure out how to proceed and whether the blinds will call. I know UTG has made a decent hand and will probably lead out the river if I call, but I am not sure what he'll do if I three bet here and I know the blinds will fold. I flat call after thinking 30 seconds or so. Unfort, both blinds muck.River - Kc. I know this is a good card because UTG immediately fires. I raise, he re-raises, I four-bet (we are heads up so unlimited betting). He reaches to five-bet it, then pauses and looks at me and says "You have the Kings? - You got quads right?". I am honest and say no quads. He thinks a little more and says "Good chance you have quads and just calls my bet". I'm sure everyone knows what he had..... and the lesson to be learned.

Get the money in on the turn.
Because I want him to put me on a straight, and then be confident his boat on the end was good? Is that why? Think I would've made more money?

Think I would've made more money?Because anyone drawing to a hand that can beat the nut flush is calling a riase and anyone who isn't is folding anyway.Royals are much worse than lower striaght flushes because no one's drawing to the nut flush.

Smash, with no tells do you just call there at the last with AA?  I'm pretty sure I'd be reraising like a donkey.
Really wish he would've. We sat together for about 4 hours at this point and we both had by far the biggest stacks at the table. He was really a solid player so I never put him as the type to limp with Aces in a limit game. Once he raised my turn, I knew he had made a pre-flop mistake. Just didn't know it was as big as it was.

Was there a bad beat jackpot?  Quads or aces full losing to a royal flush would be $$$
I got a free buffet for two at $18.95 each and the kindness of the dealer hollering "We got a royal".

What???? I expected to hear some awsome story about a quarter pounder, and all i get is some story about a royal flush. Jeez way to be misleading on the topic. I hope Mcdonalds sues you.

AA?     If he has AA there isn't it a nice call instead of reraise?  I mean, why not fire in another one if you have aces full?   Afraid of quads?  Wow.
I believe Doyle once said "If you're afraid of the man with quads, walk away from the table"The second part is wrong most likely...but it was something like that

So you are in middle-late position with JQ diamonds against what you believe to be a solid player. He raises UTG and all fold to you. You fold?

Yeah I mean if he raises UTG with aces like he should.

Speaking of five-betting, I saw someone 5-bet a K-high flush this weekend at foxwoods. Wonder what they thought the other guy was 4-betting?I got 27 bets out of someone with the nut flush when I had a straight flush at Foxwoods once.Ahh 2/4....it's not just the ludicrously high rake and free booze that make it fun.

that has to be one f the craziest things I have ever heard. What a moron. Did you play it up? "You have a flush too huh? I hope yours isn't higher."

He said he was good and he wouldn't keep raising with aces as a good player or would he check the flop. I don't think he would of checked the flop if he had a straight either. I'm guessing he had a full house with 9s or 10s over kings or a flsuh. Most likely a flush.
