clem tiger 0
try the Zen of Gambling by Wayne Allen Root...not the greatest read but it does have some interesting concepts. The Gold Sheet is a pretty good resource as well. Another resource to look into is called consensus online. Doesn't teach you but gives insight into the daily selections. sportsbettingman 0
I've read a few books...or parts of other books based on each specific sport, and what is helpful to know when gambling on it.It comes mainly down to money managment.Try to avoid anything over a two team parlay...the odds become poor after 2.When you win...up your next bet...when you win again...pull back a profit, and keep it set aside. When you lose...drop back down to your original...safe starting bet size.Don't bet outside your bankroll. Start smallish...and build.Factor in everything...injuries, weather, trends, past, hot streaks, new players, new coaching, everything...but never underestimate your first gut pick when looking over the games. When you see a trend (Like on Sportbook.com...my favorite place to play online)...a trend like 89 % of the public or more betting on one game...bet the opposite!Gook Luck!~Lance

Marchione 0
one of my best friends in vegas plays the sports book and makes a nice living doing so.rules to live by ~ best time of the year to mke money is at the start of the season before the odd's start to settle, best time of the week to place a bet is when the odd's are first posted.read up on sports like soccer (football to the rest of the world)I made over 12g's (year end profit) betting on ARSENAL during there undefeated season. first goal scores can be easy money with the right team.3 game teasers are sucker bets unless the sheet looks good ( eg arsenal, manu and chelsi) all have easy weeks.now my friend in vegas loves the 6-8 game sucker bets at the start of a sports season (small bets big payoffs)but to each there own
Nate Dogg OC 0
Definitely read The Zen of Gambling by Wayne Allen Root. Whoever said it isn't the greatest read is mistaking badly. It is not only a great sports gambling primer but an inspiring book in the sections about life in general. It sort of changed my life.
