Buy the name brand from Tiger Direct. 1/4 the price of Best buy. The markup on accessories at the big box stores is goofy. I had a friend that worked there and cost on a 15 ft HDMI cable that they sold for 30 bucks was 4 dollars.
I have had a lot of friends who have stuff from Tiger Direct..They are all happy..Looking to buy a small tv for the kids upstairs..Gonna go there this week.

We should start a TV/Movie thread. I know there's a forum for it, but just for us hockey guys. What do ya think? Or is there one already? Or is there talk of TVs/movies in every thread these days? :club:

It appears that the ~7 hours between bars closing and liquor stores opening is the perfect amount of time, from a crowd control POV. Twice recently, I've wanted to keep drinking. By the time 9:30 am hit, I was too sober to want to walk out in the snow for more beer.Guess it's working, Ontario.

Yeah, but if I'm 12 beer in (aka a night out), I have no control anymore. I just drink until I'm out of booze, basically. So it's a huge burden on the wallet, and on my body to do that.Learned this lesson a while ago. That's the only time I crave more liquor. When I'm sober, I don't "need" it to survive or anything. But once I get drunk, it's tough to stop drinking.

I probably have 5 cases of beer (good beer, cause I'm a beer snob) and enough liquor to get the entire hockey forum drunk right now. We had enough liquor on our own then we had a party in the fall and everyone bought us liquor. I got more for Christmas too. I want to have a liquor only party in the spring. I'm sure that will turn out well. :club:

This is exactly, exactly the same kind of drunk I am. I can go weeks without drinking (at home or going out) but if I have one drink I'm going to drink until the bars close and blow through $120 in the process. No self control for stopping, slowing down, or making good decisions. None whatsoever.

Anyone know a site where I can find weather conditions from days past? Our snow removal guys showed up today with the receipts for me to sign dated 12/24 12/27 and 1/2. All for salting and plowing/shoveling. I refused to sign them because first off, how do I actually know they were here and did that? And secondly, was it even needed. We have about a quarter of an inch out there today and that is the most I have seen this winter so I am curious if there was actually any valid reason for them to be out those days but I can't seem to locate past weather reports for Detroit.
