This doesn't really deserve it's own thread, so I'll keep it here: The guy that outed Mark Foley and Larry Craig is now claiming to have pictures of Lindsey Graham with another man. He says he's meeting with his lawyer today before (hopefully) releasing the photos. This should be fun...

It's generally frowned upon unless the guy in the closet is casting hypocritical votes, such as anti-DADT and anti-gay marriage. Which is the case here. Apparently it's not a huge secret in DC though.

I know, I was just typing, but hey, anyone who wants to live a secret life should have their deepest darkest secrets spread out for the world to see because someone disagrees with their politics.

Kinda sad that a 60+ year old man is still hiding in a closet though and voting against people who have more courage than him.

That alone is reason to destroy this man's life. After all, what would stop a gay guy from empathizing with a guy who is afraid to come out.

Haha. We both know this won't destroy his life. He could go the Ted Haggard route and have a spiritual retreat, he could (and likely would) become a private lobbyist and spokesman, or (and this is the most likely scenario) he could demonize the guy who wrote it and deny everything.Only thing he might lose is his senate seat when he's up for re-election, which he was likely going to leave within a cycle or two anyway.

I don't see how this is news at all. If he's not married, why does it matter? Can't he be gay and think that gay marriage is a bad idea?

He could, but it's unlikely for those to be his true feelings. It's not just marriage though - he's voted against anything that would give gays rights throughout his career. You're right though, it's not news which is why I didn't make a thread. It's just....entertaining? Satisfying? Something like that.

What is interesting is that the left will crucify this guy, for being and doing what they are arguing is normal, healthy, and should be accepted. And they will be so busy calling him a hypocrite...that they will never understand that theirs is the bigger hypocrisy."We support the right of a man to chose to love another man and respect his wishes for privacy about his personal choices...wait, there's a republican banging some dude...eewwwww Out him! Out him!"We elect a person to vote the way we want based on what they said. If he secretly wants to raise taxes, he isn't supposed to go against what the republicans voters who elected him, we voted him in to lower them. His personal opinion is supposed to come second to the wishes of his constituents. If he had ran on a platform of supporting gay marriage, and then decided not to vote for it, would not his actions be seen as wrong? If he ran on a platform of supporting the traditional view of marriage, then was to vote otherwise, it would be just as wrong as Obama choosing to keep rendition, Gitmo and waterboarding all part of the Us response to terrorist. ( which he is (woot woot))And why is it 'just sex' or 'none of our business' when it is a democrat? It is so obvious that the left is the home of homophobia, racism and class warfare. They can't go a week without looking for it in everything anyone does.

You are...off base to say the least. Delusional to say the most.He won't be crucified for being gay - he'll be crucified for leading a double life and lying to his constituents (who would likely never willingly vote for a gay man). If a democrat voted against gays and was later found to be banging a dude, the same reaction would occur. And allowing a tax cut to expire is not the same as actively raising taxes. Rhetoric like that may work on American sheeple, but I like to think we're smarter than that here.

Not saying you are wrong about me...

But again, he is voting exactly as he was expected to vote by the people who voted him in, and his personal choice to have gay sex is a private thing between him and his consenting adult partner. The fact that the dems will make this more shows that they are the homophobes.

Never had even the remotest intention of implying anything regarding taxes other that the parallel issue of running on one issue then choosing to vote differently as being wrong.

It's not rhetoric it's a fact. If you have been paying X rate in taxes for ten years and then start paying X+ in taxes it is a tax raise.

No it doesn't. It means they like watching important people fall, as the media has shown time and time again. It will be shown less on Fox news because it makes the republican party look bad.

In the most literal possible way, you are correct. But the implication is "Obama will raise your taxes! He's redistributing wealth! He's a commie!"

Bet you're wrong. Fox has always covered this kind of scandal. Now they won't cover the rumor of pictures much if at all but when the pics (which BTW are still just rumors) come out they will be covered as much as any network. In fact many pubs don't like him at all, especially a Guy like Beck. Expect him to hit him hard.

?The people outing this guy ( which I take it hasn't happened yet ) are being hypocrites. The only way you can 'out' him is to think that being a homosexual is something to be ashamed of.'Outing' him for voting party is kind of stupid...and something every single politician does most of their political career.

I'd be surprised if any media outlet covered it without the pictures. Interesting take though.

What? No. Most of the people that do public outings are proud and loud homosexuals who find it absurd that closeted homosexuals can denounce those who have had the courage to come out simply because they're ashamed of who they are.

Is that fair? Seems hypocritical to say the least.
