I didn't have much of a chance to play wpt sats last year, maybe one weekend, and got 2nd, to retry the same step, then 3rd, to bust out, so looking forward to trying to sat into something this year. It's good that they are doing something, wish they could do it in December instead of January, but I think they are borderline on me being able to take the time off work to play them.

Are each of the satellites run only on certain days, and only at certain casinos? I know with the wpt, most were held at Casino Niagara.
will call and ask. According to the brochure I have Steps 1, 2, A are run daily for sure at Niagara Step 3 is only on weekends and might be at Fallsview or Niagara, My guess Niagara for sure.as it comes closer to the tournament I would say they will run at both casino's like last year at the Wpt they ran tons of sats at that time it was hard to get on regular table at Fallsview or Niagara and the table prices were jacked up so you could not get a cheap table. Will call Robert or Richard and find out.phone # to register is or for info 1- 866-5-poker-5web site does not mention nor does the brochure the max # of entries for each tourney, web site is in the original post, I looked at the rules as well it's not posted in there either, will call tomorrow also I emailed Robert the tournament director

by word of the tournament director All of the satellites are being offered at the Fallsview poker room only. We will not be accepting phone-in registrations for the satellites, players must be present to sign up.Phone in is for direct registration for the tournament it self or information.

Rose will you be buying in to this event? If not do you need a backer?
lol, Serge wish they had a stud event might try a Sat or 2 , not sure if I am good enough to play but still might go for one or 2 of them, will see. I went and played Saturday 2/5 was up $600 then had a hand AhKs in SB raised pre flop $60 BB and CO called flop came AcKc6d 2 checks to me , I bet 200, both called, turn 5s CO bets 300 I raised to 450, BB folds CO calls, river another club drops 7c. I check, the CO checks he gets his flush, glad I didn't bet on the river I would of lost a ton. Smelled that flush coming, and figured he was going for that but I should of bet bigger on that turn card. kicking myself for not pushing him out with a bigger bet. any ways came home 200 up. But lost a ton on that hand. Knew he was going for the river card. Just didn't bet big enough to scare him out lol don't get why he didn't bet on the river? maybe he put me on a flush as well.

I was at fallsview this past weekend looking forward to playing some satellites for the tournaments... and I must say they are running the satty's like crap. They only have 1 table open for satellites and take forever to start for some reason ? I put my name on for step 1 and step A (whichever they decided to run after the step 2) and played 5/5 for over 4 hours and still my name was not called. Really dissapointed in the way they are running them, IMO they need at least 2 tables for them during high volume time. but the good news was my time wasnt wasted, ended up about $1200 in just a little over 4 hours playing 5/5.Come on fallsview make the satellites better! :club:

Is this not a WPT event?
No , they decided not to go with the WPT as they did not honor the contract from last year and that they were in the process of bought out. Sad because it was a good event and had a high turn out. this one, will be interesting to see 3 events , 3 different buy in's which is good, but shitty dates, , shitty time of year and competes with the PCA event. It's not going to get the star's nor will it attract people in the dead of winter. So far, as for there Satty's it is disorganized and poorly run. they need more tables and should be running out of both casino's.

ya, that schedule might end up biting them. I'd love to come back home and play a tournament at Fallsview...just love Niagara. But I'm heading to PCA. If there's a snow storm (and that's a real possibility) that could be chaos for them.

for the 1000 dollar buy in, do u know how much chips u start with? and the blind structure?
If you click onto the web site in my 1st post , then click into there PDF files it gives you the blind structures to the sats, as well as the main tournaments. It's above the Hilton advertisement. There is also a phone number to call them for further questions or information as well, it's the same # as used for registration.
