savagerebel 0
I have finally convinced the wife to go to Vegas. She is still not sure she will have a good time. She thinks there is nothing to do but gamble. Anyway she started looking for packages to go there. What we have found is a package with airfare and hotel for 2. Leaving from DFW June 14 returning June 18. Staying at Imperial Palace. The total for both of us is $587.40. If anyone can find me a cheaper deal with the same dates, I'll ship either $10 free cash or a $20 stake. We would like to stay on the strip. We can leave from DFW, OKC, or Tulsa with DFW being preferred. Happy Hunting.
WhiteSpade 0
If your wife is already going with the mindset that she will not have a good time, I wouldn't stay at the IP - it will not help the situation. If center strip is your concern, Flamingo and Bally's are both better options and on the cheap side. Not great, but better.

Not great, but better.Yea if you can afford maybe $100 more you can stay at a way better place that may be better with the wife. Imperial palace is good if you just want to drink and gamble. MGM might be a good option. It has a monorail station downstairs so you can get down to the other end of the strip pretty quick. It is a good full service resort and has some good restraunts and nightlife to go along with the gambling and drinking.

GWCGWC 83
If your wife's not a poker player then she's right. If she likes to shop, then spring for an extra ticket and let her bring a friend. Otherwise, you may find yourself not getting much table time.
UncleBill 0
The IP isn't going to help your cause at all. It's the dive you stay at if you're in Vegas for a bachelor party and you don't want to waste any valuable Spearmint Rhino cash on a hotel room.
savagerebel 0
Ok The IP is a bad place to stay. Where can we stay that is better and within a $100 of the original price?
cdipierr 0
Stay at the Luxor. Downside is south strip, but it's walking distance to MGM, etc. Price is usually great.

king_tanner 84
I agree with Flamingo she will like the pool.Other than that, if you are really interested in getting your wife to have fun I would schedule some shows and nice restaurants. If she doesn't like to gamble or drink she will not have fun otherwise. For shows I would schedule some cirque soleil type thing, for restaurants search for the FCP restaurant thread in OT.Here is the restaurant thread:http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...gas+restaurants

rcgs59 15
from a woman's perspective do not go to IP, I been to Vegas a few times and it's not a place I want to stay at. That MGM deal sounds awesome for you. Because I have a Total rewards card from Harrahs I get comped for free nights at Bally's, Caesars, Flamingo, Rio, Harrah's, Paris, Grand Casino's, and IP any of the Resorts owned by that system. When you get to vegas get the casino players card and use them in the slots or at the poker tables so you can earn your comps and get cheaper rates. If I was going the week I wanted for the Fcp meet up I was paying like $160 for 2 nights and the rest was comped free all I had to do was pay for my flights. check out. this web site and glhttp://www.harrahs.com/index.shtmlfor your dates Bally's $216.00flamingo $245.00Paris $360.00Harrah's $265.00Rio $440.00IP $160.00flights not includedalso harrahs as a package for Two Nights for $79 Harrah’s Las Vegas is the most fun and friendly of all the Strip casinos, with a perfect location that puts the best of Las Vegas right at your fingertips. And now, your Harrah’s stay also comes with the perfect price – just $79 for a two-night stay. This package is available Sunday through Thursday nights in May, June and July. Book your room today! I have stayed at Harrahs before and it's not bad since they have up graded
