Casey Blake is currently leading the team in OPS but this really doesn't mean that much. From here to the end of the season, i would bet that his OPS is no higher than 4th out of their regulars, and I would also bet that Laroche would have an OPS nearly as high with the potential to be even better if he were to hit in the spot Blake will hit. Blocking Laroche is just inexplicable at this point.Pretty much agree with all of this, but unfortunately we are dealing with Ned Colletti, aka Brian Sabean's protege. I am partly convinced that him becoming the Dodgers gm and his tenure is a plot by the Giants to f up our organization as badly as their's.Now with Nomar hurt (shocking!), all bets are off in regards to what Colletti will do. I think he is unfortunately (for the team and fans) in 'save my job' mode, so he will probably make another bad trade that will cost us quality prospects for marginal veterans. Because the Giants hadn't scored in 23 innings, they needed to do that and it was a good play to send him.I'm lucky I didn't crash into a pole after hearing that one. Obviously Krukow has now infected Kuip with the full blown "being the biggest homer ever" disease instead of just the mild version.In my roto leagues, one of my fav strategies is picking up pitchers that face the Giants - forgot to post after the Kuroda disaster how much I hate that guy. Is he even over the Mendoza line yet?Meh, I wasn't that against the contract given it was only 2 years. The 18m per is bad, but overpaying is nothing new with big market teams/the Dodgers. I thought it wasn't a bad risk given Andruw's track record, and hoped the fact that he would be a FA again in his prime would motivate him to put up big numbers.Also, at this point I wouldn't even consider his contract to be the worst on the team, let alone all time. Even though he isn't hitting, he has at least played, unlike Jason Schmidt. Then again that brings up the argument of what's worse, Schmidt not pitching or Andruw being in the line up.BLAH, I really really really wanted to win last night's game.
