jeff_536 3
You last tried this back in 1812, and if I recall correctly we kicked your ass and sent you sailing back across the pond crying to your queen. Yeah...we actually kinda picked that fight to be perfectly accurate. And we held our own.Ever wonder why your president's house is painted white?

LadyGhey 0
It's so sad when Americans response to something clearly sarcastic with a ridiculously overblown, defensive, patriotic nationalist statement.Anyway, I encourage you all to pay due respect to your new English overlords. I would also like to add that you all need to try crumpets, recommence referring to 'pants' as 'trousers', and immediately cease producing country music, which is not an acceptable genre in the United Kingdom. Country music came from England. Immigrants brought all of their old English Ballads to the US. Some music experts went up into the mountains and started collecting and categorizing all the songs. This collection inspired many artists and formed the birth of country/bluegrass/folk etc.And by the way I'll send you Cincinnati Chili for some crumpets. See, we're all not overblown, defensive nationalist swine.

See, we're all not overblown, defensive nationalist swine. The other guys are right, what you said about country music coming from England is just plain incorrect. Wikipedia explains:Country music is a blend of popular musical forms originally found in the Southern United States and the Appalachian Mountains. It has roots in traditional folk music, Celtic music, blues, gospel music, hokum, and old-time music and evolved rapidly in the 1920s.It goes on to say how the instruments come from Europe, but that's about all. Nothing to do with England or our 'old ballads'. Sorry, mate.
