yeffy 0
Can't imagine why anyone would play in a private game at the Borg. They will spread any stake as long as there are 2 players there for it. Unless you wanted to play deuce or badugi the only reason to do it is to get scammed in a rigged game.

No rake.. and perhaps they wanted to play a mixed game like with gin or badugi that they can't spread.. or to be cheated.

beforetoday4 0
"Most poker players know to watch out for card counters, bottom dealers and deck stacking." I love it when the first line of a news story completely ruins the writer's credibility.
psujohn 0
um why wont they spread deuce or badugi or am i missing something hereJust a guess but NJ law regulates down to the very rules of poker games. For instance you can't straddle in any NJ casino because the law doesn't allow it.And avoiding rake is a really dumb reason to not use a casino for a high stakes game. Borgata takes time on bigger games and at anything anywhere near high stakes the time charge would be next to nothing compared to the stakes.

yeffy 0
um why wont they spread deuce or badugi or am i missing something hereYeah NJ gaming comission is ridiculous. Two years ago during the Borgata open Ivey, Benyamine, and Chau were playing 5000/10,000 (with $5 red chips) and they made them stop playing deuce. The Borg is going to apply for deuce and badugi but it will take at least 6 months before the game is approved. We play a 10/20 OE game with a half kill on the Omaha round. But due to NJGC rules we can't put a kill on stud pots.

It's pretty much the only O8 or Stud game I ever see running there, and I've always wanted to play before, but didn't have near the roll until this month. Juicy?

It's pretty much the only O8 or Stud game I ever see running there, and I've always wanted to play before, but didn't have near the roll until this month. Juicy?Well...it depends. When the game starts it's a pretty static lineup. Some are good some are donks. The "good" players aren't inventive or anything they just play the nuts. A decent player can definitely win money in this game. There are 3 of us under 40 that play this game on any regular basis...we are all pretty good . SO stear clear of anyone under 40 not waiting for a 10/20 hold'em game. Now if this game is still going at 8pm...it is probably an awesome game. If it's going at midnight then it is guranteed to be the holy grail of OE games. (well except my 20/40 game in NYC and no you cant have an invite...I will retire on this game)
