Hi Daniel. Been following your progress and reading your journal for a long time. I have only made it to Vegas once but it was late '04 when you were the chip leader at the Bellagio which was cool.Be sure to bring your clubs with you as the golfing within 1-5 hours of Vancouver is WORLD CLASS. I think you will like Vancouver; golf, scenery, mild weather, and good access to vegan/vegetarian food options. Also the River Rock Casino in Richmond is nice and they would be ecstatic if you could sit down at their tables for a couple of hours. You are probably one of the few people on earth with enough pull to get them to start a list for a mixed game. I would fly in for the game in if it was 5-10 or less.Get in touch with Yukon Brad. There is a decent chance he will be around town.-=Cotty=-PS I am pretty sure that Baden is Germany so if your plane lands in Austria in October, that would be a bad beat. "October 5th Fly to Baden, Austria"

Didn't want to make a new topic, so I'll discuss his new 7/15 blog here. That's a lot of traveling, Daniel. But it's good to see you playing outside of the U.S. for a change! Great blog, and I hope you take down some EPT's!

Check out Cecils, The Marble Arch and the No.5 Orange :club: Have fun in the great city of Vancouver. I live about 4 hours away but I love to go to Vancouver. Something tells me the poker rooms of the River Rock and Edgewater will be buzzing this week.

experiencing life outside of Las Vegas, Atlantic City.... and TUNICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lmao. Nice hand. And that schedule! WOW....hope you are flying the first class sleeper route. Vancouver is beautiful as anyone will tell you, If you have time, get out and see it. Cfinn is a screenwriter (hey finski, forgive me for volunteering your info. services!) lives and works there and I'll bet she can give you all kinds of tips on what to do and see. It is an amazing city. Some of the best Asian food and sushi I've ever had is there. Can't rememeber the names! :club: Sylvia and I ski quite a bit (or used to) and even though it is summer now, I'd sugggest (time allowing obv.) to get up to Whistler. It's about an hours drive north or so but man is that a beautiful drive. And Whistler itself has amazing scenery and some very nice golf courses. Reminds me of Vail Colorado or Aspen. Just awe inspiring...some of the best scenery outside of Europe. God speed to you (and Lori if she gets to go) as you travel the globe. How exciting for you guys. Germany, Switzerland and Austria are our favorite places over there. The Alps rule.Best of luck in the tournaments. Have fun! :D

That place shut down years ago.It was owned by the Hells Angels and some Mormons bought it just to shut it down.

Volunteer away on my behalf, Scottie. Indeed I do live here and would be happy to offer up some tips. Anything from restaurants (definitely lots of great Asian food, some cool Vegetarian place you might want to check out, as well) to stuff to do. I live downtown, so if you're in the downtown area I can definitely help you out with all the eats. yum.I have a cousin who is obsessed with golf, so I'll give him a call and email you in a little bit.Oh, and welcome! Hope you have a great trip.

There is a sorta big shot TV producer guy in Vancouver called Dee Dee, I think his real name is David. Anyway he loves to play poker and I've never seen anyone make it rain chips like he does all the while having a great time doing it and keeping the whole table laughing. If he's involved with your TV thing and wants to invite you to a game, go, it will be fun.If you have the chance, ask Yukon about this guy.

Too bad. Me and a friend always would go there and pound a few back then go watch the Grizzlies play. Once I had 9 Crantinis in 2 hours then tried to go after Shawn Bradley in the 3rd quareter. Good times.

Hey Daniel .... never thought I'd come accross as another Fan Boy of yours but here I go ...I own an Indoor Golf Instruction and Training Facility in North Van and can get you on pretty much any course you want, as well as have my Pro help you with your game if you want ...www.urbanlinks.net if you want to check it out.LOL at Movie Producer DD (yes it's David) ... I can't tell you how many times I have recycled to get into his games .... major cashola and doesn't care that he's the biggest fish you'll ever meet. I have seen him win an $800 pot and give all of it to the dealer ... he's the best. He lives in LA but is here a lot .... he was at edgewater Sunday and got them to spread a 40/80 game and you should have seen the line up to get on that table! Brad will definitely know who he is.There's also $500 tourneys going on all week at Boulevard Casino in Port Coquitlam (about half hour from DT) ... I'm playing in the double stack "main event" on Saturday.Sounds stupid but PM me or send an email to northvanvouver@urbanlinks.net if you're interested.

DN, I would recommend going to Butchart Gardens near Victoria, beautiful place and great resturant. Taking the ferry through the San Juan Islands is a great way to spend some time too. Enjoy.Jim

The best thing you can give a poker player in a fish report. And DD was spreading the love again last night. :club: If you play much at the Edgewater I've probably played with you.
