Here are the official chip counts and table assignments for Day 3.Scotty Nguyen has a mountain of chips as has been per usual lately. He's been on a tear. My favorite to win this thing, Erick Lindgren, is in the top 10, which most of us have come to expect in any big buy in tournament these days. Daniel looks fine as he has 71,5 and is right in the middle of things.Also note his boys Josh Arieh (16th) and David Williams (144th)First Last Chip Count Table Seat1 Scotty Nguyen 233,750 53 12 Eric Weiner 231,450 30 83 Steve Stolzmann 200,625 31 94 Nikolas Frangos 189,775 36 95 Robert Alexander 180,725 32 86 John Esposito 173,600 38 37 Siagzar Payvar 157,050 4 18 Sam Farha 156,575 57 99 Greg Raymer 153,625 40 610 Joseph Cordi 153,450 28 111 Eric Lindgren 151,950 50 112 Alan Goehring 151,800 39 713 Blair Rodman 150,825 56 914 James Bechtel 150,200 33 215 Joseph Grech 149,575 36 1016 Josh Arieh 139,075 37 117 Alan Boston 138,925 41 818 Anthony Hartmann 134,900 45 119 James Frangoulidis 134,450 49 120 George Miller 133,850 52 121 Thomas Keller 132,325 30 622 Ron Rose 131,325 37 623 Dwayne Moyers 130,625 32 524 James Van Alstyne 129,150 3 825 Joe Beevers 128,400 2 526 Farzad Bonyadi 127,525 46 327 Alan Schein 127,200 57 128 Tam Nguyen 126,800 54 729 Benjamin Johnson 125,500 27 630 Dan Alspach 121,800 39 131 Russell Rosenblum 121,150 41 1032 Andy Bloch 116,625 42 333 Allen Kessler 113,875 48 534 Barry Greenstein 113,725 42 435 Nam Le 113,100 51 236 Edward Lawson 112,650 52 737 Javier Quinones 112,000 47 538 Jeffrey Abramovitz 111,875 28 239 David Sklansky 111,575 4 640 Hasan Habib 111,125 3 641 Prahlad Friedman 110,650 49 342 Annand Ramdin 110,250 46 443 Eric Kesselman 109,150 32 1044 Thor Hansen 106,625 33 645 Jerry Young 106,125 55 1046 Andy Miller 105,575 29 847 Bernie Collins 105,550 56 448 Tom Franklin 105,350 49 249 Tom McCormick 103,025 37 350 John Kabbaj 101,100 45 651 James Hoeppner 100,850 51 452 Lee Markholt 100,700 52 453 Michael Mizrachi 99,650 31 354 Van Nguyen 98,575 39 555 Noel Furlong 98,500 44 956 Stuart Paterson 98,275 38 457 Leonardo Fernandez 98,275 44 758 Alex Prendes 98,125 27 559 Armando Balbi 96,275 45 460 Daniel Larsson 95,475 52 661 Juha Helppi 95,325 51 362 Noah Boeken 93,375 43 163 Chad Layne 93,100 52 864 David Ulliott 92,800 3 765 Isabelle Mercier 92,650 43 566 Paul Nepa 91,625 57 367 V Senthilkumar 90,400 36 568 James Carroll 90,375 32 269 Robert Hoff 87,525 51 570 Steven Brecher 87,375 35 171 Amnon Filippi 86,575 27 372 Paul Kraus 86,525 52 573 Refugio Quintero 86,250 56 574 Jens Sjogren 86,225 56 775 Ngoc Jimmy Tran 85,750 3 276 Paul Nguyen 85,350 30 977 Gabriel Thaler 85,250 2 678 Tom Pniak 84,650 3 379 Erik Seidel 84,600 31 780 Mojgan Stringhan 84,150 1 781 Charles Hartman 83,900 50 982 Eskimo Clark 83,325 34 283 Davidson Matthew 82,750 53 984 Bo Sehlstedt 81,975 28 785 Hilbert Shirey 81,850 32 686 Alex Todd 81,575 50 487 Max Pescatore 81,200 47 388 Paul Maxfield 81,000 49 489 Jason Lester 80,525 33 890 Scott Wilson 80,425 34 1091 Trinity Greer 80,225 49 1092 Galen Kester 80,000 4 393 Antonio Esfandiari 79,075 48 294 Nekpal Singh 78,875 32 795 Nick Hanna 78,575 4 596 Rob Hollink 78,150 36 497 Maureen Feduniak 77,750 48 698 Lamar Wilkinson 77,725 31 599 Chris Ferguson 77,075 43 3100 Craig Hartman 76,900 50 8101 Donavon Sleeper 76,525 57 10102 Johan Storakers 76,075 1 6103 Mike Chiappetta 75,400 40 10104 David Sutcliffe 74,700 46 5105 Al Decarlo 74,675 39 9106 David Grey 74,050 48 8107 Garylin Kelly 74,050 53 8108 Sammy Arzoin 73,425 35 10109 Michael Hauptman 72,900 51 1110 John Stolzmann 72,825 27 7111 Danilo Sahione 72,625 39 6112 Efren Bonillas 72,475 46 2113 David Oppenheim 72,150 36 3114 Robert Mizrachi 71,925 34 4115 Eddy Kleid 71,700 38 2116 Daniel Negreanu 71,500 54 8117 Yunya Wang 71,050 44 6118 Paul Niemela 70,775 28 6119 Jeff Shulman 70,550 34 3120 Simon Trumper 69,900 57 2121 Jesse Jones 69,625 33 3122 Phil Gordon 69,350 49 8123 Danny Hall 69,300 3 5124 Clifford Pappas 69,075 55 5125 Joe Clapper 68,000 37 7126 Alex Brenes 67,925 46 1127 Ray Faltinsky 67,700 37 5128 Annie Duke 67,675 31 8129 Barney Boatman 67,450 45 10130 Michael Hayes 67,450 48 1131 Barry Lackington 66,875 33 1132 Kassab Ama 66,575 43 6133 Thomas Fitzsimmons 66,400 52 10134 Tobias Person 66,100 55 3135 Huck Seed 65,875 41 4136 T. At this point in the tournament, how hard will it be for someone in middle position with ~t70 000 to make a run at the final table? This is the first time I've followed one of these events from the beginning...

At this point in the tournament anything can happen really. If you catch a few lucky breaks someone like Gus Hansen (2nd to last) with about 10k in chips could end the chip leader for the day. He probably won't, but you never know what is going to happen in these things...Shock

Oh it's still VERY early. They are beginning with level 6 today (i think the blinds are going to be 3oo-6oo or 4oo-8oo to begin), anything can happen. even the smallest stack has 10 big bets remaining.70K is very comfortable position beginning today.also keep in mind they will be playing everyday until the final table on sunday

Ah ok, I thought it was just a 3-4 day tournament, but it lasts much longer. Daniel at his weak table should be able to make a move then, no?
Depends, he said he had a pretty weak table yesterday but it's hard to bluff weak players. So he had to actually get good hands which didn't happen too often. If he can double up early or pick up a few big pots he could be a monster though.

Holy ...., table 48.. Ted Forrest, Mimi Tran, Antonio Esfandiari, Maureen Feduniak, David Grey... and those are just the people I've heard of. DN drew McEvoy at his table, cool.

Last year Micheal Mizrachi had only one chip left at the start of the hand. He was forced to play because of antes. Someone decided to try to steal the pot. Mizrachi won that pot and ended up winning the WPT title.

The fourth starting chip leader, Nick Frangos, is out in under an hour. 189k up in smoke. "It was unbelievible," David Oppenheim said. Nick lost most of his chips to Senthil Kumar when Frangos seemed to think his flopped top pair was golden. Nick had the J 8 of Hearts. Kumar called with pocket Queens. Then Joseph Grech finished Nick off with A K.- from pokerpages.com

some other news so far...The big news early is that Mike Gracz, the Polish young gun with 55k, is out with pocket Queens versus pocket Kings.Men Nguyen left short stacked at the same table. I asked Phil Gordon if Men was moved. He said "Yeah, to the loser's lounge." Geez, Celebrity Poker chat. What a promoter.Harry Demetriou left early as well.Gus Hansen is starting the big game in the other room already. He doubled up with pocket Kings. "One for ten," he said. Then Gus went out a few minutes later.Andy Bloch just knocked out Huberto Brenes with pocket Kings versus pocket Aces. Andy made a King high straight. We've seen this movie before. Humberto lost to Chris Moneymaker with Aces against Moneymaker's 8's the year Chris won the WSOP. Omen?
